Great staff, and great location. A recent menu change might prevent us from ordering from them in the future. They're five-star... for sure when the food is fresh. The first time we ordered, my wife and I got the same entree, with the only difference beingthat she picked "Extra Spicy" and I picked "Not Spicy." Her food was fresh, and my food was old. No problem -- we just alwayschose "Extra Spicy" and the food was always fresh and fantastic. As of October 2022, the option is gone. The first order sincethe change, the food wasn't fresh, as worried/expected. I ended up throwing most of it out. I'm not sure why the menu wasupdated to remove this option, but it makes me apprehensive about ordering again -- which sucks, because it's been so good whenit's fresh. Read more
It was quick, and very good. The boneless ribs were great, not overly sweet. The scallops aren't fresh, and sauce could have... been a little more tasty, but still came very hot at the right time, and for the later hour, was a very good option. Read more
I have a hard time with MSG, and easy trigger for a 3 day migraine. I love Chinese food, but not worth losing 3 days of my... life. Enter SILK ROAD BISTRO, one call and a great conversation with chef/owner who happily explained to me what I could orderthat already has very little or no MSG and what dishes by default of MSG being in the ingredients, could never be MSG free. Hepromised me “ don’t worry, your family is safe in my hands” I was honestly pleasantly surprised at the time he took tospeak with me and the care he put into making my family’s dinner. We ordered 2 dinners, Orange Chicken and Chicken Chow Mein,both with pork fried rice and appetizers. It tasted fantastic! It was hot and fresh and delicious! I am happy to report we allfelt fantastic the next day, no headache, no heartburn …and they gave us so much we had leftovers the next day! I will be aregular here for sure! Read more
I'm not from the area but I saw they had walnut shrimp and decided to stop by after work and treat myself.. I got the salt and... pepper fish as well as the walnut shrimp.. absolutely the best I've had in years.. even better than Chinatown in Boston where Iusually go, and free parking... very friendly and attentive from the moment I walked in the door.
