I have left my previous review below, but I just went again this past weekend and I felt like I had to change my rating. It was... perfect! Delicious coffee, delicious quiche, delicious caramel banana pie. They were super busy, but kept the wait to about 15minutes. Simple menu that has been done extremely well. The ONLY downside is the size, but I feel that it helps give you thatfeel that you can only get from a good breakfast place. They have taken the position of best breakfast place in McAllen... OLDREVIEW Very nice breakfast spot, but due to its location I tend to forget about it. They also sell a lot great dessert pies.They keep some pies in stock that you can buy per slice, but if they do not have the one you want you can order the whole pie!!EVERYONE NEEDS A WHOLE PIE... 1 slice is never enough... It is a little small and tight if inside if you are planning on diningin for be aware of that. Read more
Very good! Love the homemade taste! I really like the alfredo, chicken, and their thanksgiving platter! Only critic is the paper... they put on the bottom of the to go plates, it gets all soggy and rips easily so I am always scared that it's going to be in myfood. Food is great and very tasty everytime! Everyhing is made from scratch. Small place but they accommodate you as quick as... possible. Love everything I've tried especially the crispy side of potatoes, biscuits and gravy, the awesome syrup for thepancakes, oh, and the big waffle with ???? strawberries and whipped cream. Read more
So glad we stopped at this place for a quick brunch ???? The reviews did not lead us astray. We were greeted by one of the... owners when we arrived who walked us through the entire menu. The only downside here was having too many options! I poweredthrough ???? and ordered a "build your own breakfast" with added French toast. My fiance ordered an omelet plate with tortillasoup. Everything was so fresh and unique. You can tell they stress on using high quality ingredients, no preservatives and makeeverything from scratch. They make all their own breads, sauces and even maple syrups. ???????????? the desserts looked awesomebut was too stuffed to have any. I will definitely be back soon to try their lunch options. We showed up 30mins before closingand we didn't feel the slightest bit rushed. Felt like warm, homestyle eating. Can't wait to go back again. Edit: I forgot tomention the breakfast potato slices! Probably the best breakfast potatoes I've ever had. They look like potato chips but arehearty slices with just the right amount of seasoning. Will definitely be having dreams about these taters. We came in earlier in the week for our first time and had a wonderful experience. The ambiance, service, and food we?re... absolutely amazing! You can tell the food is made fresh and from scratch as advertised. Our server Carlos was extremelyefficient, helpful, and very knowledgeable. If you decide to come in make sure you ask for him because that man is on top of hisgame! The desserts are also very delicious. You can?t leave here without trying their banana caramel pie!!!
