I only gave three because I had very mixed feelings. I give five stars to their coffee ?? drinks. The best I have had in North... Texas. Presentation and taste was spot on. The ambience was cozy and worth four stars and the waitress was sweet and attentiveand deserved five stars, But three stars for food which all tasted reheated from frozen, I had the meatloaf meal and two starsfor the tiny cute cupcakes that tasted freezer burned. My first impression was a sign on the door letting customers know that non-cash sales would have a surcharge. That nearly made... me turn around and leave. I don't understand why they think this is a good business practice. It nearly kept me from diningthere. The food was surprisingly good. The servers were friendly. My order was not correct (wrong side dish) but what I did getwas delicious. The peppered French fries were unlike any fries I've had before. The Texas pimento cheese panini was amazing. My wife and I visited this restaurant in Historic McKinney, TX this evening for the first time. We're visiting McKinney this... week from Colorado. The restaurant was conveniently located, had plenty of free parking nearby, interestingly decorated insideand out, had outdoor seating, plenty of indoor seating, we were greeted upon entering, seated right away, had a great server whowas patient, helpful, and efficient, the menu has many great selections, the meatloaf meal was to DIE for! and was veryaffordable, and the dining room was clean. I have eaten here for every meal and every time it?s great. The menu is gigantic, which normally means that something suffers,... but I have never had anyone in my party be disappointed with their meal. Literally everything is good! They have deliciousspecialty coffees that are great there in a giant mug (where they sometimes do pretty pictures in the foam) or to-go. They havegreat desserts on display and mini cupcakes for little ones! (So smart!) The only complaint is that the service is prettyconsistently slow. I hate to say that, because we love this place, but it?s true. If time is an issue, I would recommend savingit for another time. Read more
