I recently had my daughter's bridal shower at Real Gusto. Our experience was amazing. The food, atmosphere and service were... fabulous. We had the entire restaurant to ourselves and Matteo and Francesca were more than accommodating. It is clean andbright and sits on the historic Mystic River where you can go out on the balcony if you so choose. The restaurant was completely full because there was a concert in the area. The food was very very good however we arrived at... 5:30 and didn’t leave until 7:45 due to the service. The service was horribly slow. One bartender there for the entire bar andrestaurant. This restaurant has amazing potential. The ambiance and food was next level. The service if not improved will betheir demise. In response the the restaurants response… Considering I cannot respond to your response I’ll do it righthere. I go to dinner often and my experience is typically great. Like last night for instance everything was wonderful. Iunderstand you don’t have enough servers and that affects the experience of people paying for a certain experience. And yes ifwe cannot get that we definitely should stay home. There was little get up and go in your establishment. Three hours for dinneris outrageous. They were trying to talk the gentleman next to me out of ordering a certain dish because it takes too much timeto make it. I know plenty of people looking for employment and go to plenty of restaurants that have adequate service. Alsothere are reviews for a reason. This restaurant seems unassuming from its small storefront on high street, but makes a great impression once you walk in.... There's plenty of space and the cooking is on full display with its open kitchen. The food is traditional Italian withreasonable prices and decent portion sizes. Enjoy a dinner with someone special and make sure to ask for a window seat to enjoythe views of the mystic river. My only complaint is that they're not open 7 days a week. Read more
