Wrote corporate Nero a few weeks ago and never heard a response. My wife and I decided to try the Melrose location on Sunday,... September 25, around 11:40am after noticing the nice interior and outdoor drinking space. We normally would visit our typicalestablishment across the street, but decided today was the day to try out Caffe Nero. The gentleman who helped us wasapproximately middle aged with a peppered pony tail and lacked customer service. Several comments and mannerisms he made wereunprofessional and his last comment resulted in us canceling the order and just leaving. Firstly, we asked about latte sizes,he replied with, "We have sizes just like everyone else." Secondly, he said in a condescending tone, "What's your problem withfoam?" Thirdly, when I asked once again for no foam in my latte,he replied with, "Have you ever had a latte before? They allcome with foam." This comment prompted us to cancel our order and leave. I've had plenty of lattes from a place across thestreet and they always make it with no foam without hesitation, questions, or insults. I'm very surprised to not find any Yelp review for this great place yet. Its located right on a busy main street with a nice big... municipal parking lot in the back that provides access on both sides. The seating area is quite spacious and comfy and they arereally generous with the tables unlike Starbucks across the street that is smaller and definitely more crowded. I'm a huge fanof this place and been coming here regularly for work as the local library is closed due to relocation. Their drink prices arepretty fair and delicious I usually get Ice Tea or lemonade. Their breakfast sandwich is amazing as well as I have tried it afew times. Wifi is quite fast here and I especially enjoy the outdoor seating are they have where the music is quieter for agood conversation on the phone. Overall I'm very happy with this particular location and have become quite the regular patron ofthe chain. I go here a lot. There is literally nothing that I can eat, but that's okay. The coffee is pretty good and they have oat,... almond, and soy milk. There is in fact an up charge for plant based milk v.s dairy milk. Just so you know. It's prettysignificant ¯_(?)_/¯ it's got a wonderful atmosphere and it always smells really nice. Coffee and pastry are good. Service is average. However, the internet speed needs improvements. It is extremely slow! I like to... come to this location to do some work, but I often find it very hard to work with such bad internet. Management should invest ina better internet package. I mean, it's the least they can do for customers willing to pay their somewhat higher prices. UPDATE:It seems that the management's solution to the limited internet bandwidth is to block many websites, such as YouTube so thatcustomers don't consume too much bandwidth.
