Lots of options similar to Chipotle. A bit intimidating for a first timer, but the staff who helped me was so patient. Granted,... it was not a busy time. I picked out all of the vegetarian & vegan options and created a nice bowl for myself. Totaled around$16 with avocado. Fresh ingredients and quite tasty. I just picked up an order from this location. The grain bowl is barely 1/4 of the way full. Things I ordered in it are missing... and things I didn?t order were added, like olives and tomatoes, which I cannot eat so I can?t even eat this poorly portionedbowl. I?ve never had a problem here before. I?m only writing a review because I can?t even get in touch with the store in orderto make it right!! When I call the number it tells me to press 4 to talk to someone and then goes right to a full voicemail box.I?m so upset that I just spent $18 on something I can?t even eat. Really disappointing. Me and my office .totalling 5 people. Ordered from here for lunch today. 1st off they missed ALL of our sides whether is was... sauces or pitas. The picture I took, to the left is all my chicken I couldn't eat bc it was all fatty and disgusting. The one tothe right is my actual bowl, pretty much h all rice. Amazing food. I would probably get it to go because it gets pretty crowded. I got the Harissa Avocado bowl with a pita on the... side and a cucumber mint limeade. I will be back soon. I recommend this place to anyone who loves greek/Mediterranean food. Thestaff was so nice and helpful and I didn't feel rushed. Overall, while the food from Kava is good, poor and slow service plus an expensive price tag makes this a place I can not... recommend. It took over 23 minutes start to finish just to order, which is generally not an issue for me... Except when theslow line is a result of poor staff training and a lack of urgency. A manager was present but wasn't doing much other thanpacing around and slightly monitoring the workers. The workers did not seem trained enough to confidently do their jobs, and didnot have answers to fairly simple questions like "Is the lettuce washed". Additionally, I was charged more for something on themenu because the worker did not understand the price of the item I added to my order was already included, etc... The blame forthis has to fall on the management. After paying for my meal, the person behind the counter did not tell me the total and whenI asked she said she couldn't unless she printed the receipt. Which was just an odd thing to say, in my opinion just print thereceipt so I can know what I paid for... So she didn't print the receipt, and instead used her calculator on her phone to figureout what she owed me back after paying in cash (Which is fine by the way!). She also did not include utensils on a specified togo order, the person who made our meals served me the wrong chicken... It's the fact that there isn't a robust and efficientmanor in which the employees do things, which again suggests they just haven't been trained properly. This is a shame, I neverleave bad reviews and it generally takes a lot for me to do this. I do not want to dissuade people from coming to a place ofbusiness, but my experience with Cava sucked. So much so my girlfriend and I both decided we won't come back after her firstvisit there. The cost of the food here is a lot, paying for something this expensive with all the mistakes and problems todayis unacceptable.
