Very dark interior but it feels upscale and cozy. Grilled chicken salad was excellent with a lot of extra ingredients not listed... on the menu description of the dish. Salmon w a sweet bbq sauce and a chilled orzo rice mix was one of the specials. The fishwas cooked to perfection. Server was also very good and friendly. Prices are high. Read more
It's been over a decade since I visited J. Alexander's (before Redland's was in the name). I'm glad I went back. Although the... restaurant had a wait, we were seated before the quoted time. Our server was attentive and the food arrived quicker thananticipated. I had the salad, which was loaded. I asked for grilled chicken instead of fried and they were happy toaccommodate. The thin slices of chicken were warm, flavourful, tender and moist. I don't know if they make the honey mustarddressing, but it was some of the best I've had. My sweetie had the New York strip, cooked medium with a loaded baked potato.The steak was cooked to perfection! He has announced at least 5 times that we will be returning to J Alexander's at least once amonth so he can get the best steak ever. Read more
