Our favorite local greasy spoon. Excellent food and service all meals. Nice breakfast buffet. The restaurant has been able to... keep prices reasonable, which is highly appreciated. By the time I got my food, the rest of the table was already almost done. I ordered the special, "stuffed french toast", and got... french toast with just frosting on top. When i asked why it wasnt "stuffed", they said the frosting was the stuffing....despiteit just being on top. Apparently they dont know what the word "stuffed" means. Used to come here alot. I don't think the mixing of reviews is appropriate. This restaurant was originally called Favored Flavor Family Restaurant. It... was recently bought out by Mentor Family Restaurant. The reviews here include the Mentor Family Restaurants previous location aswell as pictures. The new owners have of coursed raised the prices and switched up the menu some, but I don't think it's fair tocompare. Read more

On today's episode of EVIE EATS ?? Mentor Avenue Family Restaurant in Painesville! Missy and I had no idea what to eat and I... had remembered passing this spot many times on our trips to Target & Trader Joes. Today was the day! A little chilly outside soa diner sounded perfect. We ordered...a lot. This is what happens when we skip breakfast. 1. Mentor Avenue burger with soup &salad bar 2. Tuna melt & fries 3. Club sandwich with soup and salad Soups: Chicken noodle, cabbage vegetable, & beefbarley. The pictures speak for the quality.
