Had lunch while waiting for a Rx at the clinic up the road. My California wrap was okay - kind of bland. Sweet potato fries were good. (Not amazing but okay.) Mom was very happy with her Cuban Panini and chips. Service was great. The server was polite and friendly without being intrusive or overly familiar. Might try it again.
Waited to be seated with three other families surrounding us. Host seemed overwhelmed, management arrived to help? but said nothing to guests. Looked disinterested. Seated, no crayons for my kids which is fine but the host said she would bring them, didn?t happen. Wasn?t busy. Server was ok, long gaps between start to finish with no mid-meal check, Dream Burger was over done BTW. Draft beer is warm, would have told server had he checked on us. Sat on pizza oven side. One of three tables in dining room with two servers in that area. Server did not thank us for visiting or ask if we wanted dessert, I had to ask for their complimentary dessert for my children. I have been coming here for years, dirty floors with menus and chicken wing bits, no manager presence. Quite a drop from where the Chancery once was. All of this could be corrected if management took an active role in service.
We had an amazing first visit and wonderful service from Callie. She made some excellent recommendations and the food was fantastic. I know we'll be coming back often to try the rest of the menu.
The food has potential if they have the right people running the kitchen. I has disappointed ? with the wood fire ?? pizza. It was to soft no color to the crust no blisters around the pie from the heat of the wood oven cheese not caramelized they need to use that oven to its fullest potential
We came around 4pm for dinner on Sunday. All chose a noodle dish; it came with bread that didn?t taste good. Plus, we were eating pasta (so carb on carb wasn?t very appetizing). Besides that, we all liked our dishes. At least there were many options for your pasta. Eating at that time was nice because it was quieter. My grandma didn?t need to turn off her hearing aids or struggle adjust them.
Meh is all I can say. Ordered the Greek Pita sandwich and someone got lazy and just put Italian dressing on it. The waiter waited a bit before even taking our initial order. He seemed to have more time for a few other customers (high school girls) who came in well after us. My husband ordered their fried chicken dinner (which we know is usually a 35 minute wait), waiter said nothing about it, a lot of his food was either burned or Luke warm . The waiter dropped off the food and never came back until he gave us the bill. Kinda disappointing since this is one of the few restaurants opened later in the evening. Sadly this is our second mediocre experience here.
Restaurant usually is good. Do not eat at the bar if you are wanting stellar service though. Cheese curds over cooked multiple times after being sent back. Beverages ordered from the bar were so diluted they didn?t even taste right. The bartenders neglected to give us silverware and also multiple empty condiment bottles. Also the bar was incredibly dirty and we did not see the bartenders wipe it down once.
I want to give this place a better rating based on the food and our individual experience but unfortunately we were involved in customer drama next to us. The short story is that after having been very busy earlier, the bar staff ended up inattentive to a lone patron trying to order takeout. Rather than discuss what happened, take accountability, and create a solution, both the bar manager and overall manager chose the path of intimidation and confrontation over tact. We personally had good service and enjoyed the food but the ineffective management attitude and behavior leaves me realizing that there are lots of dining options out there. While I am sorry you had a tough night, our fellow patron deserved better. Bottom line is this was good food but a poor experience that could have easily been avoided with some maturity and tact. Given this was by members of the management team I feel it is a reflection on the value placed on customer service in an industry that has really missed having customers to service.
