Menu for Shaw's in Merrimack, NH

I was deeply disappointed to go into the Merrimack Shaw?s today and see they had replaced the salad bar with a display of... premade salads and different meals. None of which were made how I would make them, or even how I would like them. I would eat atthat salad bar 2-3 times a week. I really hope the negative reaction will make them rethink this decision and bring back thesalad bar. There are going to be lots of disappointed customers as they find out the only reason they went there has beenremoved. What a shame, now I have no reason to go there, so any other stuff I might buy just because I was there will no longerbe bought. There is no way they will make as much money with this new display. Shelves in some spots are still bare. Pretty much everything that I'm looking for, they're out of. They have also stopped... carrying certain pizza brand types and replaced them with gluten free or cauliflower options only. Very bad idea to me becausethere isn't many good frozen pizza out there. God awful store, and had what was my last visit very recently. Produce section was absolutely trashed, empty bin with remnants... of rotten vegetables, rotten herbs and potatoes...and blatant disregard for food safety handling along the far wall thatincludes the deli and grab and go/bakery items. This is seriously scary folks. I now help is hard to find but was.in there at730am, a half hour after opening and this is what I was greeted by. Don't normally shop here, but live in town and sometimes ina pinch for time and just grab a few things. I swear there's less than 8 people working here. 1 elderly cashier. I unkeptcrackhead at the deli...standing next to the slicers that looked like they hadn't been wiped, let alone properly cleaned andsanitized in DAYS. This is pretty serious folks as far as foodborne illness goes. Not ONE single employee practices safe foodhandling, gloves or some don't even have good personal hygiene. The floor was covered with trash and food bits, so yeah, there'sno cleaning schedule or management/training. It was 730 in the morning and about 10 people in the whole store. Wide aisles and easy to find items. I'm not sure about the inflated prices yet but as far as my experience here goes, it was... good. Ample parking and is handicap accessible. Read more

I'm seriously tired of this place. I don't know if I'm being treated differently because of my skin color or if there's just... something that some of the staff just dont like about me. I don't know why they're rude to me and watch me like a hawk but thisis the last time I'm shopping here. I'd rather travel down the road to Market Basket or order my food online. I will say not allthe staff are like this, many have been very kind and helpful in the past, but the few bad apples have sour my view on thisplace. Read more
