I was excited for this place and ended up being disappointed. My chicken was minuscule and overcooked. The heat and flavor were... there but overall not a great first impression. We all have bad days so I?ll definitely try it again. Everything going out whileI waited looked a lot better. Update: I tried it again and I just can?t recommend it. Maybe it?s me but this isn?t ?worldfamous? fried chicken. It?s overcooked and some pieces were dry and flavorless. Very nice staff however. Read more
When my friend told me about this place, I was there the next day. Good service, friendly and great food. I had the 3 piece... plate with Coleslaw and Bake Beans. Yes this is one of best Fry Chicken I had here in Arizona. The owner came to our table andask how was everything, I like that, they are interested on your opinion. The chicken was juicy and perfectly fried. The skin not overly crispy. Just a bit of heat. Potato salad was creamy. Not a... mustard potato salad but slightly sweet. Baked beans were quite good. The two-piece plate with two sides of of $10. Avery gooddeal in my book. Read more
The experience here was kinda everywhere. The look of this place is so homey and inviting. You get to seat yourself and all the... chairs look different like you are in someones kitchen. My party go the fried green tomatoes($6.75), fried okra($6.50) and two 3piece wing plates(each around $12). The greens and the mac and cheese cost extra to upgrade. Now let's get into the food. Thechicken has a kick. If we compare it to the Popeyes spicy chicken this is spicier. Keep in mind they have no non spicy optiononly the chicken fingers. Although the spicy it is very crispy, tender and juicy. Now like other reviews have said the mach andcheese is very under whelming. It was too salty but unseasoned at the same time.
