Loved the overall atmosphere and beautiful wood floors. Customer service was terrific being very polite and helpful. Ordered... the spinach artichoke appetizer and it was fantastic! Wife loved the wines and her tomato soup and salad. I ordered the ribeyesteak with baked potato and vegetables; the whole reason for only 3 stars was the steak had no flavor at all was by far theblandest steak I?ve ever had. It was cooked perfect at medium rare and was a nice size but the taste has to be there. Read more
Discovered this wonderful restaurant while visiting Metamora. Outstanding atmosphere inside. So much to take in. Loved the... flooring and horse memorabilia. Incredible outdoor dining area, too. Super busy during the Hot Air Balloon Feast, but wasseated quickly. Food was reasonable. Good size portions and it was very good. Very nice atmosphere. There are tables inside and out. Had the French onion soup. This was very good. It had a spice I don't... normally taste in French onion soup but tasted great. Had the roast beef grilled cheese sandwich. It was good but neededsomething like sour cream/horseradish sauce to dip into. The staff was kind and attentive. Beverages were kept full. Been around since the 1850s and it?s very well maintained and decorated. Wife?s bucket list and we had a very nice late lunch... with kids and grands. Staff was helpful and friendly. We ordered pretzels and spinach artichoke dip for appetizers. Generousportions of both. I had the potato chip crusted walleye. Nice portion and very tasty.
