Cold, overpriced pizza, and scammed me out of $5 I bought one slice of pizza from here, they didn't have the price listed... anywhere (already a red flag), so I asked how much. The Cashier said it was $4.23 (May not be 100% accurate but it is close), Ipaid with a $10 bill, and received $0.77 back. I asked them for the ~$4 I was owed and they told me I was only owed the $0.77 inchange. $5 does not sound like a lot to be scammed out of, until it leaves you with $3 in your wallet. Read more

It is with great disappointment that I write this review for Antonio?s. I have been a customer of Antonio?s for more than 2... decades. For years, we?ve enjoyed countless delicious pies. Last night, the pepperoni pie we ordered ?just tasted off?. Thepepperoni itself did not taste fresh and had a strange taste to it (very different than usual). Unfortunately, I had to take allof the pepperoni off my pie. When I spoke to my adult son this afternoon about the pizza from last night, he brought up, withoutme ever first mentioning it, that he also thought the pizza did not ?taste right?. When my mom called Antonio?s a little whileago to let them know our observations about the pizzas, she was met with very unexpected resistance from the man who answeredthe phone. He seemed very defensive and told my mom, ?Our pizzas are always fresh! The pepperoni?s always fresh! None of mycustomers complain!? When she asked him his name, he refused to tell her. He also would not tell her when the owner would be atthe store and available to speak with. Until last night, we too would have agreed that the pizzas were always fresh. Hopefully, last night was just a fluke. However, what really leaves a bad taste in my mouth is the rudeness of this unnamed worker. Read more

Pizza completely burnt on the bottom. Many time before it was somewhat burnt. Today we picked up the order and the pizza was... uneatable - completely black on the bottom. the store would not even take it back , they offered 5% coupon for the next order. we had to throw the pizza away. We are not coming back! Read more

New Owners. Food Okay. Customer Service Not so okay. I Have been living in the neighbourhood for 15 years. Invited an elderly... gentleman 78 years old for dinner - who is born and raised in Metuchen and is US Army Veteran. The old owners knew both of uspersonally. I take Senior Citizen?s out for meals once in a while. Never been mistreated by anyone else in Metuchen like theowner himself did. In Metuchen Downtown, I had not seen anyone as arrogant as this business owner. Read more

Jay must be rolling over in his grave seeing what is being served at what was once the best pizza shop in Metuchen. Noticeable... changes to cheaper ingredients, staff not knowing how to properly cook, and how they treat their patrons is a abysmal. Antonio'swas our families go to place for over a decade. The pizza is now on the same level as cheaply made pizza that one would get at aChuck E Cheese, you know waxy /plastic type cheese on floppy dough. Last gripe before I come to a close, we were in a pinch fora family party and called to place a catering order for $150-$200 (Pizza, chicken fingers, pasta, salad....nothing crazy) and topick it up by 11:30am, you would think new ownership would be like "Thank You for your business, we would love to take yourorder", NOPE! Even though they open at 10:00am they claimed they don't fulfill catering orders that early in the day. Needlessto say we took our business to L&L Pizza and they were more than happy to accommodate.....highly recommend this place for thenew folks in town! Antonio's you should be ashamed of yourselves and you're losing a lot of long time customers! Wake-up! Read more
