Typical Irish pub atmosphere crowded bar was full, loud music, people talking, some dancing, but everyone seemed to be going a... good time. Friendly atmosphere. If you're looking for a quiet place to eat and talk this is not it. Food was excellent I ordereda turkey sandwich with coleslaw on it. Forgot what it was called. The turkey was soon tender and tasty. OMG! service was goodwaitresses smiled but were very busy. Prices are good too. They're open late which is why my girlfriend and I went there Iwas hungry very few choices in area late at night. I made a visit here sometime in mid-2021 so the pandemic was in it's early stages in feeling comfortable and opening up. So not... sure if much has changed since then. I went on a weekday evening and during this time, they only offering they had were indoorseating which was very much preferred for me so it worked out great. The ambiance is very relaxed and friendly with live musicwhich I very much enjoyed. I will point out though that the music was a little too loud so made it a little challenging to carryout my conversations. But again, live music performance was great. The food is as expected, nothing super spectacular and meetswithin expectations. Wings didn't have a lot of meat, not very juicy but very crunchy. Hailey's is a long time favorite. Good food (especially the Irish fare), great service, and good ambiance. I love the... Sheppard pie. The burgers are great as is the French dip and the cheesesteak. The corned beef is fantastic, whether you get thecorned beef and cabbage, the Reuben or just the sandwich. They often have have live music. Karaoke on Tuesday nights. There istrivia on Sundays at 5pm. They have a very good selection of draft beer. The sister location in back brews their own. Theplace is usually pretty loud. Large rooms available for office parties and such Metuchen parking can be tight, but there areseveral municipal lots nearby. Meter parking in front is free after 6pm. Read more

Went there on a Saturday night. Live band was awesome. Food was very good. Drinks were good but the glasses were small and have... too much ice in them. Wide selection of beers.Everyone was friendly but our waiter wouldn't let us breathe. He was on top of useven when our drinks were still half full. Would definitely come here again hope to get a different waiter. Read more
