To describe it in one word: meh! We came to The Tavern based on the IG photos and the looks from outside. The food looks nothing... like the IG photos, it may have changed management, idk but the food is dissapointing. The orange juice in the menu says freshlysqueezed, well no! That's fresh from the carton. The chocolate banana waffle is basically an ordinary waffle with a banana andpuddles of artificial tasting chocolate syrup. It would have been better if they had added some choco chips to the waffle oreven serve melted chocolate on the side. Again, disappointing. My scramble eggs with veggies and mozzarella was as the samelevel as the others. So I believe this is a place for tourists in nearby hotels. The service was the worst. Lazy personnel. The didn’t have a wide angle look. as soon as they saw that they were looking at... them, the looked away or did leave the restaurant god knows where. Never a smile. Not a nice word. I had a shrimp taco - it wasto much eggs on it and more so HUMAN HAIR!! And it wasn´t mine. It could have been so Good, but then you need to educate yourstaff. After that the check came and there was an increase of the price by 20% so you have no alternative than to pay tip. Iwant to make my own decision whether I pay tip or not. And I am a good tipper if service is good. This was the worst Iexperienced on my stay in Miami for 8 days. Read more

First got here to Miami Beach decidedly to go to the Tavern. The hostess was slow and so as our waiter, messed up on a few... things but besides that, it was alright I ordered the steak tacos and was fulling and delicious. Few days later i wanted fourorders of steak tacos to go and it was a mess nothing like our first Order. Pretty much a pencil strip of steak and looking amess. My first visit to this restaurant. The restaurant is spacious with seating areas both inside and out. Good selection on the menu... at a reasonable price. The food is well-seasoned and tastes fantastic. The service is great. The restaurant was clean and tidyeven though it was busy. If you're in the area pop in you will not regret it.
