Sports fan and like good food ? This is the place for you. Not to far off the highway. The appetizers were excellent and also... the salads. I wasn't impressed with the pizza, only because it wasn't my style of pub pizza. It was good don't get me wrong. Thestaff was friendly and attentive. My sisters and I went here for lunch on a Tuesday. We were surprised to realize we had been here many many times as children. ... Our entire family would meet here when it was Riverside Restaurant (Chicken Steak & Chocolate Cake). They've done a great jobkeeping the original layout, yet updating it as well. When I first discovered Boston Tavern I loved going there for lunch. The food looked and tasted home cooked and fresh. We would... go at least twice a week after work. After a few months I noticed the meatloaf wasn?t as good, and other things on the menu hadchanged. They changed their recipes and unfortunately wasn?t as good. We stopped going because there were several occasions wehad to send our meals back. I really love the atmosphere here, it?s cozy. I really can only give it 3 stars though because thelast few times we went we had to send our meals back. Also, they advertise a Chatham Lobster Pie, but it?s all claw meat, whichis very disappointing since the don?t mention that on the menu. Servers are always professional and friendly.
