Proportions we're great but I was pretty underwhelmed by the flavor. We got a cold and a hot lobster roll to try both. The... amount of lobster was fantastic and it was cooked perfectly. The bread was super tasty, buttery, pillowy and really welltextured. As far as the actual lobster salads though, we were pretty disappointed. Both lobster rolls were under salted andreally needed some acidity. I would have loved some lemon juice or vinegar or something like that. Overall, it was good but Idon't think we would have gotten them again for what we paid. Read more
Salty's Lobster Shack is on Route 114 in Middleton Mass, across from Richardson's Dairy. We went at 5pm on a Thursday evening.... It wasn't very busy. I was looking forward to tasting Salty's lobster bisque and sitting by the fire pit and that was exactlywhat I did. The staff was very welcoming and friendly and I got my order in about 5 minutes. I asked them to light the fire andthey were more than happy to do so. I also got fried haddock and fries. All three choices were great ones. The bisque had chunksof lobster in it, was creamy and we'll balanced and had a drizzle of sherry butter on top with green onions and bits of crispybacon. I thought it was fantastic! The haddock was light and perfectly cooked, crispy and juicy. Super fresh. Even the frieswere delicious! I highly recommend Salty's. I'm looking forward to trying their lobster roll soon! Thank you!!
