Her cakes have no frills but all the flavour and texture thatyou?d want from a mouthful of cake. From the crumb texture to the balance of frosting and filling, her cakes are perfection. Hergoodies are inspired and perfected, and she has a story for every flavour or choice she makes. I promise you her frosting isnever greasy and cakes never dry. Too many local bakeries and cake ?decorators? use boxed like cake with frosting that?s toosweet camouflaged by many frills hoping to wow their customer. So it?s refreshing to find cakes made with passion and flavourprofiles which show skill. Visit Katie?s booth at one of the local markets or stop by her shop for a treat and a chat. I popped in yesterday and got some sort of mind boggling coffee chocolate cookies. These are quite literally the best cookies... I've ever had in my life. Thick and gooey and full of rich flavors. Katie is the most upbeat, friendly, kind baker I've ever hadthe pleasure of meeting. Explains all the options and how she makes them all. Takes interest in your day, chats with you andshares in a laugh. She even advised me on how she eats them frozen, which I did while dunking them in a hot coffee and I cannotrecommend this eating method or this shop enough. Will be back repeatedly. Read more
