I am incredulous that these reviews are of the same place we ate last night. We heard that there was a new Chinese restaurant... open in Mill Valley. The place was staffed by two teens in t-shirts, who sat behind the counter as we seated ourselves. No onecame over to check on us, and we had to figure out that we needed to order at the counter. We then ordered at the counter, andthe credit card machine had helpful tips at 25%, 22%, and 18%. I stupidly gave them an 18% tip, before realizing we were goingto get no service at all. They dropped the food on the table when all was ready - they did not bring the drinks or appetizersfirst, as any waiter in any restaurant in the world would do. The food was cold except for the spring rolls, which were verygood. The chow mein tasted burnt, the portion sizes of the beer and entrees were very small. No one ever came to see if weneeded anything, and didn?t even bother to say goodbye when we left. To say we will never return is an understatement. I hopemanagement reads this and actually gives the teenage staff some training in how to actually work in a restaurant. I will becurious to see if this place is still here in 6 months. Oh, for the good old days of Jennie Low?s! Read more

Food was SO much better than your run of the mill Chinese. It was flavorful and abundant for the cost. We will come here often!!... The high school kids working at the front were so kind and helpful. So happy this is a new option in Mill Valley! Read more

Yes! So glad to have a casual and clean place for Chinese-American in Mill Valley! Mamahuhu?s second location has all of the... charm of the original - really awesome artwork, family-friendly booths and spacious seating, and easy counter service. We had agreat experience with Nikesh, who led us through the menu and pointed out all the great vegetarian and vegan options available -it?s nearly everything! Almost all the dishes are available either with meat or without, so you don?t miss out on any of yourfavorites! We particularly loved the Sweet + Sour Cauliflower (a veg version of classic Sweet + Sour Chicken). The cauliflowernuggets were nearly the same texture and consistency as the meat version, and didn?t loose their crunchy exterior (even asleftovers!) We also got the Cabbage Salad - it may not look like it but it?s actually really flavorful! Love love love thedressing! Don?t skip the sauce trio available for take home. Elevates even the most boring post-soccer practice dinners at hometo something with a little more sparkle. We just read about their Strava Adventure Challenge - so perfect for Mill Valley! (Askthe staff for more details!) Glad to have you here, Mamahuhu ???? Read more

The food is fresh and fantastic. Flavors are much more complex, subtle, and nuanced than any other Chinese food I've eaten. I... got the Broccoli Beef and it was delicious. The veggies were cooked perfectly and the beef was tender and flavorful, withoutbeing masked in sauce. I also really enjoyed the banana cake parfait. The egg rolls were light, fresh, and crispy. Lookingforward to going again. Read more

The menu may seem relatively simple at a glance, but the flavors are nuanced and complex. We really enjoyed their take on beef &... broccoli, and the chrysanthemum salad was delicious. The ying-yang parfait was lighter and less sweet than expected: a very niceway to end your meal. Will definitely return and dine again soon. Read more
