I tried the freshly prepared veggies. They were tasted. The yams are very good! I couldn't leave without some homemade... banana. ???? Yummy to the tummy filled with cookies and bananas. I will be back to try more of her food especially her Chickenand dressing on Sundays. Nice environment to enjoy excellent home cooking. One of her regulars has her favorite table to sitand enjoy her food. Ms Johnnie make you feel welcome. Come one and come all. ---MS Scott Read more

My husband and I are pleased! We?re southern foodies and know good soul food. Before we entered, we were skeptical. Not because... of the location; only because it hasn?t been promoted enough! The parking lot was clean, plenty of parking spaces, and a warmwelcome upon entering the building from a sun kissed beauty who gave me allllll ?rich auntie? vibes! Literally! She was thekindest and showed us the menu RIGHT THEN. She must have known we like to read the menu before even sitting down ???? Anyway, Iordered the baked chicken and husband ordered meatloaf with red sauce. We figured who could monk up chicken, even though he wentwith something else that was past my judgment. We both ordered yams and had pinto beans, cabbage and hot water cornbread. I?lltalk about dessert later. The chicken is wonderfully baked, seasoned and omg so soft falls off the bone. It ain?t that bakedchicken drowned in Italian dressing mess! My husband ate allll of the meatloaf and it was a BIG portion, may I add. That speaksfor his review. He said he?s too full to even try to attempt and write a review. The yams were great, I could taste the cinnamonand butter LAWD! If this was a dessert it?ll kill me because this is all I?ll eat! Pinto beans and cabbage didn?t even need hotsauce or ANYTHING! We just sopped our hot water cornbread in it and that was that! Fresh and Seasoned! Now for the peachcobbler and banana pudding!!! Somebody back there know what their doing! My peach cobbler was hot, the way I like it served! Asa matter of fact, our food came out piping hot HOW WE LIKE IT! One thing for sure, I always ALWAYS eat cobbler with icecream ?it?s a must. This time I didn?t even bother. The banana pudding had bananas in it. That solves the banana pudding debate about nobanana vs bananas. It came with a glorious swirl of whip cream. DELISH!! Restaurant is clean, beautifully decorated, gives ahome feel with the style of the split floor plan dining room and a cute paint job! Reasonably Read more
