Menu for Holiday Inn Milwaukee Riverfront, an IHG Hotel in Milwaukee, WI

Most Holiday Inns are nicer and quieter. We stayed 4 nights. The door to our room didn?t fully close on its own so every time we... left we had to actively pull it over it?s hitch to make sure it closed and locked behind us. Also, the wallpaper in both thebedroom and bathroom (which looked brand new) were heavily stained. This made us question the overall cleanliness of the room.The hotel is also not in the best part of town and the ?river view? is kind of gross (I know they can?t control the waterquality but the landscaping around the river view patio could be improved). On our third night, there was some kind of giantparty at the restaurant below. Drunk people below our window yelled and partied loudly through 2 am waking us up a number oftimes. At 415 am, the fire alarms went off. By the time we were dressed and leaving the room, they went quiet. So we went backto bed. We did that three more times over the course of the next hour. Honestly, I expect better from the IHG family. We havestayed with them countless times over the years and are platinum members. We have even stayed with them in rough parts of theworld (e.g. Johannesburg, South Africa). This was one of our worst experiences. Could be cleaner, quieter. Read more

Positive: The check in process was quick and easy. Negative: The staff had little knowledge of available discounts for... government employees. They directed me to go on line and use a 3rd party company to book the hotel and then suggested returningonce I received confirmation. Read more

4 stars because room was updated and clean, staff were warm knowledgeable and friendly .. loved outdoor space to watch birds by... river but the pool area was disappointing. The pool was somewhat clean but super cold and hot tub looks like you might get abacterial infection . If they got professionals in to fix the pool conditions I think you would have a 5 star hotel. I hate tosay it but just closing the hot tub for now would be better than offering this one for health safety. Read more

The staff at check in were very friendly and helpful. However, we were very disappointed with our stay. After arriving back to... the hotel later in the evening after our event, on turning down the bed, I found a human toe nail in the bed. After calling tothe front desk I was told I could come down and get a fresh set of sheets. I told her I was already dressed for bed. She thentold me that security would bring some up when they had time. After waiting for fresh bedding, they sent only a top sheet. Wemade the best of this, but spent the night dreaming about rolling over into a disembodied toe from the nail. On check out Idiscussed this with the front desk. They told me that I would be awarded bonus points to cover the visit. This did not happen.Very disappointed in our stay. WOULD NOT RECOMMED THIS HOTEL! Read more
