This review is specific to the brewery. We arrived around lunch and shortly after more people started to arrive. With COVID and... most places being short staffed I was concerned that the wait would be a little longer than I hoped (but understandable). I waspleasantly suprised that after maybe 15 maybe 20 minutes our food arrived and was correct. The staff and food were great.Pricing was reasonable and proportions were appropriate. Will certainly stop by again in the future! Quick note; I had my 9yoson with us and there isn't really a kids menu. He primarily ate cheese curds (a little kick), fries and had their root beer.Perhaps a grilled cheese option would be a decent addition to the menu. Part of that was my fault, the menu when I was lookingonline was actually the menu for the place down the road. We made it work and still loved our day! Read more

I stayed for one night and wish I would?ve booked more! We had a beautiful room that was clean, cozy and comfortable. The... bathroom was huge and included a jacuzzi tub. The bed was very comfy and the fireplace gave it such ambience! Very easy tocheck-in and check-out. The pub is on the first floor and I?ve heard the food is great. The cook had an injury but the ownerwas so nice to offer us a happy hour and recommended an awesome pizza place across the street. The Commerce Brewery has suchhistoric charm that is kept throughout all the rooms. I loved the cozy continental breakfast area. What a great trip, we willdefinitely return! Read more

This is a review for The Tap Room. The meal was pricey at $71 for two adults and one child and the food quality was definitely... less than average for the Breuben and the Caesar salad. The Breuben was two small sliders and the Caesar salad with chicken hadalmost no chicken. Both adults left feeling hungry! Read more

Stopped here for lunch, 2 adults 2 kids, no alcohol. $90 with moderate tip. each of us got 2 sliders and either cole slaw /... potato salad or fries. The sliders were tiny and mostly bread. The meat was cold on the inside, clearly reheated, probably ina microwave. This is a place to skip. Read more

In the world of hotels there are the pre-fairy Pinocchios who only want to be a "real boy", and the post fairy establishments... like Commerce Street Brewery Inn that deliver "real experiences" to their guests. This was my favorite hotel stay of our WItrip, including some very pricey stays in Madison. It was a relief to escape the profit-driven hotel format of $5 water bottles,$7 coffee, $30 parking, synthetic sheets, and staff who actually laughed when I asked if 2 oz ice cream was complementary. Ourroom was as comfortable as our own home, including quality mattress and sheets that make it hard to get out of bed.Complementary coffee, ice cream, library, refrigerated basics, continental breakfast, cookies, chocolates, sleeping masks, 80open parking spaces, and other thoughtful items convey an appreciation for guests and pride of ownership. The Pub downstairs hasa nice hum during its brief early evening hours and really good gastro treats and beer. Mike (owner) is very accommodating whencalled upon, otherwise he is preoccupied with his pub and leaves his guests on their own. Small things matter; we phoned in apub takeout order and were surprised and pleased to have it delivered to our room complete w/ draft beers. Historic MineralPoint and Commerce Street Brewery Inn are a 30-minute drive to all the local attractions, and a great option when looking forreal experiences that heavily trafficked hotels & chain restaurants just can't deliver.
