The chicken legs were good, sides were ok. Not my favorite place, but the food is good.

Got the sampler, burnt ends and the tacos. Overall, my favorite was the burnt ends. They blend super well with the pineapple and... are fantastic. They have a good variety of bbq'd goods and sides. Grabbed a bite to eat while at this food truck while at Bauhaus, and it was recommended to me to try the Pastrami Sando. The... sandwich was quite good albeit priced slightly high in my opinion at $13. The meat although appearing to be large was roughly30% fat/70% meat which left a bit more to be desired. The gold sauce given alongside the sandwich however very much enhanced theflavor. Overall, the service was quite fast even with the long line, once I placed an order the food was ready in about ~2min. Ilook forward to trying the other menu items Animales has to offer! Read more

If you're looking for some real BBQ this is the spot hands down. I've know about them for a while and finally made the journey.... After a horrible experience yesterday (see my previous reviews) left me experiencing withdrawals for a true BBQ experience thisplace filled that void perfectly, and then some. Such a great overall experience. There was probably 200 people in line beforeus and we made it though the line in less than an hour and the food was incredible. A true Austin TX experience.
