Exceptional food and service. A strong menu carried by local chefs and serving staff alike, Erté presents a high class dining... experience. Very solid steaks and a wide variety of interesting takes on French cuisine. Friendly staff and great cocktails Read more

We had a fantastic dinner here for Restaurant Week! They had specials for just this week and I think got to try some fun new... dishes. Everything was really tasty: crab Oscar, crispy branzino and a sweet potato turnover for me; merguez sliders, short ribtacos and apple spice cake for my hubby. We thought the sliders were good enough to put on the permanent menu! We willdefinitely be back to try some of the regular menu. The service was very attentive and decor is lovely - art deco and quitechic. Read more

I am not one to write reviews, but in this case I was pretty dissatisfied. I have spent years hearing about what a good place... this was and was very excited to try it. My friend and I arrived around 5 on Thursday evening.there was maybe two other tablesin the whole place. The first awkward thing was about what area in the restaurant fell under the happy hour menu. Second, weordered some apps and the waiter seemed really unaware of what could be made vegetarian and also what was actually available inthe menu as he came back multiple times saying the items we choose were unavailable. Third, the appetizers we did end upordering took forever to arrive even though we were like the only ones in there. All food we got was so exceedingly bland andunderwhelming, then we ordered the lobster uncrustable that could’ve been good but was so unbelievably salty and only copiousamount of sauce could make it edible we also got the mushroom pealla which was okay but 100% should not be branded as a pealla.Over all everything was bland, majorly lacking in flavor and super annoyed to be paying 20+ dollars for each dish. During our stay in Minneapollis for a week we had two dinners at Erté. On both occasions the food was great. Creative, good... portions and delicious. The vibe has a low key feel but nice. White tablecloth resturant without the stuffy feel. Highlyrecommend. Read more

Happy hour with a friend.... The service was impeccable. The atmosphere comfortable. But the food was only so so. My friend had... the $24 crab cake that appeared to be burnt and was very dry according to her. We each ordered the fondue. Mine was more likemilk that had been flavored with cheese with some curdled globs in the bottom of it. Hers did not appear as if it was evenmelted cheese but a congealed glob in crock. The flatbread was fairly decent and tasty. It was my first time there and I'msorry to say I probably would not go back. Read more
