Dissappionting so many ways. Poor service with blah food expensive .best was atmopherer.stuff on walls but did not tell Paul... bunyan story? Staff 1 used mask a1/2 way No safety mask rule applied even though door states no amit without Had 15 of 25 inline with no mask. Read more
We've been coming here for breakfast for 30+yrs with our family n friends. We love the tradition and the food n donuts are... always delicious! My only disappointment this year is they didn't have molasses cookies, and they make the best ones!!!! :( Read more
The family and I have been visiting Paul Bunyan?s for generations, always enjoying the ?lumberjack atmosphere? and great food... when we visit. The doughnuts are amazing (pictured) and one of the best staples of the morning family style breakfast.Personally, I also really enjoy the biscuits and gravy but the pancakes are consistently rubbery and tasteless. The servicewe?ve had has been excellent in the past and the entire crew seems to enjoy celebrating birthdays when they come up. The friedchicken family style dinner has a better (tastier) selection of food items compared to the breakfast but both meals will leaveyour tummy full when you are done. Prices for adults are a bit high but you are also paying for the experience and not just thefood and service. Overall, a 4star rating for this classic Northwoods eatery and tourist attraction. Only get to go here when we are on vacation but when up there I try to begin or end or both my vacation with eating the... breakfast here! The food is always so good. Service always nice with a smile! The cake sugar donuts... Yea... Wow... Ham, eggs,pancakes, etc. It is a great price with a family style eating. Small portions if you need more just ask! Their Facebook page indicates they're open from 7am-12pm. Super inaccurate. They seem to be closed indefinitely. That part I... understand due to current market conditions. What I can't understand is why you can't get them to admit that or post it anywhere(not even a sign on their front door). Their number seems to be disconnected. Why not at least have a voicemail tellingcustomers that you're closed? The "A" in "Shanty" is also falling off on one side of the sign. Overall the property just lookslike it hasn't been open or taken care of in months, if I had to guess. Pretty disappointing. Read more
