We had been patronizing this establishment for years. Over the past few years, our take out order would over-promised and under... delivered. At times we would wait almost 20 more minutes when we arrived at the pick up time to collect our food. We put upwith it. Tonight's experience was the worst one ever. I placed the call at 4:15pm and told them that I would be picking up at5:15pm. When I arrived, there were already at least 5-7people waiting for their orders. There was only one maitre-D workingthe front. Both owners and one other waitress were around but at the back. I was told that my order was not ready yet. So Iwaited with everyone else. There was a steady stream of online and phone orders that came in as well as people that coming into pick up their food. Finally, the lady owner came up to help up front but kept telling everyone that the kitchen was behind. A customer came in to pick up her order that she had called it in but the staff couldn't find her order. Another customer camein to pick up her order but it wasn't ready either. So, she told the restaurant that she was leaving. The lady owner, insteadof trying to smooth things over with her, simply said, "Bye!". Finally, I asked the waitress to check on my order as it was now5:50pm, 35 minutes past the pick up time. They told me that the kitchen was almost done with it and my food finally showed upat 5:58pm. I am convinced that they forgot about my order. I also requested for extra tomatoes and was told that they wouldgive me an extra tomato per order. There were no extra tomatoes found. There is no excuse for this kind of service if I hadcalled ahead of time to have my food ready at the pick up time. In fact, when I placed the order, I was told that it wouldready in 25 minutes. These people have been running this restaurant for decades. How can they not anticipate and be preparedfor how busy Friday evenings can be? On top of that, a customer came in to pick up a party Read more

Quite literally the finest Persian cuisine in Orange County tucked away in a quiet corner of Mission Viejo. Expertly and... lovingly prepared, Hatam offers many protein selections including delightful trout and salmon dishes, plus excellent vegetarianoptions. Atmosphere is perfect for intimate dining as well as parties of 10 or more. Staff is very welcoming and attentive.Reservations recommended. Read more

Been getting food for take outs here 3 times and the many different dishes I ordered were all delicious, so tje food itself is 5... stars. However, service could be improved, especially for those who are ordering food to go. Seems that every time I orderedfood, it was never ready by the time they promised it will be ready. While I never had problem with the guy who's at the frontdesk, today I saw a very unprofessional lady (possibly the owner) who treated a customer (who's been waiting for his food orderfor 50 minutes) very unprofessionally and instead of apologizing for the delay, she would tell the person that he could gosomewhere else to get the food, and to stop complaining and that there's nothing that she can do to to make it faster. This isvery disheartening to see a place that server such delicious food, can have such bad service. So please adjust your expectationfor when you are ordering to go (I've never actually dine in there). Read more

What a great experience! First of all this place is beautiful. Outside it's unassuming, but the inside is very assuming. Very... fancy interior design, persian rug hanging on the wall and lots of persian design. We were welcomed by very friendly staff andpromptly seated. The waitress was very nice and came to assure us food was coming and to see if we needed anything veryfrequently. The restaurant had only just opened so it was only us and another table at the time. Wait was really long, like 40minutes (to my recollection, we got there 11:40ish and left around 1, most of it was just sitting there eating the bread andgheymeh they give you when you first come it) I attribute this to the fact that they had just opened and I get quality rice andmeat takes some time to prepare, but feels like it could have been somewhat faster. The food was delicious! I love basmati rice(and saffron rice for that matter), so I was very happy that my plate was loaded with it! My friend doesn't like rice as muchand didn't like that his plate had a mound of rice. We both got the chicken koobideh, which was seasoned perfectly and it wasvery moist. Not only was it really tasty, it was pretty cheap! During lunch hours the chicken koobideh is only $9. It's only 1skewer as apposed to 2, but its so big it might as well be 2 skewers from a different persian place mashed together. I will befrequenting this location as often as I can! ? ????? ???? ?? ?? ????? ??? ?? ??? ????? ????? ????? ????? ????. ???????? ????????? ?? ???? ?? ??? ??? ?????? ?? ?? ?????? ??? ?????? ???. ??? ?????? ??? ?? ????? ???? ???. ???????? ????? ?? ?????. Don?t bother with this place. We wanted to give it a try for the first time on Saturday evening as my 5 year old likes Persian... food. We couldn?t get a table despite all the tables being empty, worst the waitress and the owner who was sitting down didn?tbother to greet us and instead called somebody from the kitchen to convey the message. This was the first time my familyexperienced such a rude attitude, there are a lot of places you can get this food but we thought we give it a try, there is nostar rating otherwise that?s what they deserve.
