I had the privilege of tasting the food of Authentic Kolkata Biryani only once and ordered Premium mutton Biryani, Chicken... Rezala and maharaja fish fry. I am going to give a detailed feedback, please bear with me. The predominant part of any food isSALT and in Biryani, a dish composed of two main items Rice and Meat, proper balance of saltiness in any of this two can makethis dish bland. Unfortunately this is what happened with the batch of Premium Mutton Biryani which we got from thisrestaurant. Now the smell was awesome, it tasted ok(after adding salt). Yes it is not the typical biryani which we normally getin North America rather it is in the style of Kolkata style Biryani (as the name suggests), it contains a big piece of potatoand one boiled egg(for each portion) along with the Biryani. In a family size tray I felt really less amount of mutton(again ascompared to the standard amount of meat present in North American Biryani) and it was mostly bone. We ordered another dish namedMaharaja fish fry and to our utter disappointment the fish was not at all boneless rather big pieces of bone was there, ittasted nothing like your regular fish fry, it was full on red color, the fish was not properly marinated and we four adultscould not finish one plate of it, had to throw it off eventually. Last but not the least the Chicken Rezala, it tasted goodthough there was a overpowering smell of rose-water. Apart from the food, the service was really great. We went for a pick-upand who was present there is really a humble guy. Please do understand that there is nothing personal in the review and wish youall the best. I understand this is a really big review but may be my expectations was also really high as recommended by a lotof people. Read more

Excellent Mutton Biryani! The authentic taste of Kolkata recreated masterfully in Mississauga. Accompanied with a side of onions... and green chilli, it was the ultimate meal. The mutton jhol from their kitchen was awesome as well! Generous portions too.Friendly and timely service and the email alerts are very convenient. Hope this venture becomes a permanent fixture in the GTAfood scene. Read more

Tried the celebrated and preeminent combination of Mutton Biryani and Chicken Chaanp - I must say that it was really good. The... attempt to recreate Kolkata?s biryani is praiseworthy and such businesses should be supported because each and every Bengali inthe world deserves an ?aloo? in their Biryani. ?? P.S. Looking forward to trying the Gram Banglar Mutton Jhol, next. Read more
