I HAVEN?T EVEN EATEN HERE and im already disappointed. The moment we went inside at 8:30pm i said ?dine in for two? they were... like ?we can only do take out not dine in? AT 8:30PM? when it says they close at 10:00PM As you can see from the back of thepicture they just finished eating their dinner as they clean up their own plates! A pork bone soup that warms the soul, all for a low price. My brother has always gone to the various Owl of Minerva restaurants... across the GTA but I never had the chance to go. Finally, today my girlfriend and I had the chance to stop by and were more thanpleased with our selection. The restaurant is quite small and has a slightly weird location. If does not seem like it, butthere is parking on the opposite side of the building that is pictured on google maps. The employees speak both English andKorean and are very courteous. The food took little to no time to reach our table after ordering and was piping hot in a stonepot. We decided to order two servings of the Gamjatang (Pork Bone Soup), a dish my girlfriend, who is Korean, often craves andis vocal when a restaurant does not make it good. The soup itself was flavourful, and the meat was plentiful and tender. Thedish comes with a bowl of rice, but any additional bowl will cost you $2.50 at the time of writing. Side dishes do also comewith the dish but we felt that these were pretty lacklustre, but the gamjatang did not need them so no need to factor that intothe review. Overall, the Owl of Minerva offers great and reasonably priced Korean cuisine that leaves you full and your bodywarm, all with fast and good service to boot. Read more
Not impressed with take out. I had dined in before and the bulgogi was amazing. I ordered today for takeout and when I got home... there was barely any meat, only vegetables. For $20 you?d expect more, especially when I didn?t have this problem dining in? Read more

The lady server was very rude when we gave a 10% tip and said that it should be 15% when we (couple + toddler) dined in months... ago. Okay. Understood. But a couple of days ago, when we went to pick up an order (1 item which is Pork Bone Soup) for takeout, they started talking in their language and making faces when we didn?t leave any tip. Thought we were the only ones whohad a bad experience about tipping in this restaurant, but after reading the Google reviews, it?s quite obvious that the staffhere are pretty consistent with their attitude when it comes to tipping ???? Take out is me calling, me driving there, mewalking in and paying the cashier. No wait staff involved. So no tip. Your staff should not expect customers to supplementtheir wages.
