A typical Newk's. The difference was the employees! They were outstanding! The cashier noticed my military id in my wallet as... I was going to pay and re-rang up our order to give us the discount. Another employee that was out cleaning the floor overheardme mention one of the drink machines was out of ice. She very nicely directed me to another machine and then filled the emptyone. They also have a dog friendly patio. I would definitely eat at this Newk's again! Read more
I've eaten at this Newks for years but I've just had an experience that might make me chose elsewhere. I went in on a Sunday at... 3pm, I was the only customer inside at the time. The dining room was filthy (not a clean table in sight and food all over thefloor), many of the employees were standing around in the corner of the dining room doing nothing (it was slow so i get it, butwhy are you standing around when the restaurant is a disaster area?). I had an accidental spill and asked an employee for helpcleaning it up and she did a quick wipe of the table with paper towels, as I went to get more paper towels to help her shewalked away and just left the floor soaked and the table wet and sticky. I continued to clean up my mess with paper towels fromthe bathroom because there were no napkins in the dining room. Thankfully the young girl who brought it my food went to get amop so I didn't have to clean the floor on my hands and knees. My salad was brown and wilted, but by the time i got it I wasalready so turned off by the staff that i didnt bother getting a replacement. Read more
My husband and I came and ate lunch here this afternoon (8-7-22) and I was absolutely disgusted. First off, when we went up to... order, there was food left unattended behind the cashiers. It also looked like they were restocking some sort of cheese and itwas all over the counter. Then, when I went to get my drink, the drink station looked like it hadn't been wiped down in a while.The round table wasn't stocked at all so there weren't any breadsticks out. And the tables were so dirty, people were cleaningtheir own tables. I was so disappointed in this visit.
