The service started off frustrating but two of their employees stepped in and took care of us with great customer service. ... Didn?t get their name but we were there on 9/03/22 in the evening & we were traveling from Arkansas & North Carolina. Thosetwo went out their way and made sure we were taken care of. Server & hostess was nice. Food was just ok, chicken wings could use more sauce. Shrimp boil was fairly priced and good amount.... Alarm kept going out while we were there. Lady at checkout didn't say anything at all, just took money and was done. No Thankyou, hello or Have a good night. Read more
Compliments to this place! All around experience was great! Had a wonderful server that was also the hostess. Decorated... seafood-like. Food was phenomenal and great prices too! We ordered the 2 combo with black mussels and head on shrimp in garlicbutter mild that had just the right amount of kick to it, Cajun chicken wings, green mussels, and catfish fish fry along withcalamari and cheese sticks. Y'all. Y'all! This is where it's at! We opted to sit at the bar, as the table they took us to seemed so remote. Boy am I glad we... did. Where else can you keep up with all the goings-on in a restaurant other than the bar. We discovered the manager was aboutto go on vacation, and she had been training two new bartenders. Jacob was our bartender/server, and Talia? was the other newbartender. The manager (tell me your name for heavens' sake!) was teaching them about how to manage the bar. She even let ussample a few of the drinks they were making in order to get our input. There was an absolute feeling of family in this place. Inthe hour or so we were there, we felt like we had been going to The Mighty Crab for years. We were on our way back to Alabamaafter helping our daughter move to Austin, Texas. I am so glad that Monroe, LA is about halfway between us and our daughter. Wewill DEFINITELY be stopping back in here EVERY time we visit our daughter! Oh, I forgot to mention, that our Seafood Platterswere absolutely incredible. We like to sit at the bar often in restaurants, even though we consider ourselves to be the "oldfolks". This was one of our favorite times to sit at the bar. Everyone we encountered seemed to love working here. (If youdon't, please let me know! Bathrooms were nasty and unclean. Server didn't seem to appreciate that she had a job. The whole place had an atmosphere of... grunge and filth. Shrimp were ok. Tarter and cocktail sauce were nasty. Servers would not stop when they asked if you needanything. It was as if they knew they were supposed to ask but didn't want you to respond. 1st time there and will not be back. Read more
