I am so happy we found this place on our cross country road trip. It is extremely(!) dog friendly! The atmosphere is cozy and... welcoming, right on a cute bayou. After dinner we watched the sunset, and our kids fed the turtles. The staff and manager werebeyond friendly, and the food was also good. It was a gem of a find for sure! Read more
Wonderful food! Rich and flavorful and most dishes had a unique spin on a traditional dish. We had two different types of... catfish, two varieties of shrimp, and a steak. All were delicious. We also had a couple of appetizers. I'm going to have to goback and look up all the names. I can't pronounce them anyway... But I can say that the food was excellent, the service wasgreat, the atmosphere was fun. The view was wonderful! Thanks to Aunt Sue I have a nice sunset picture! (I'm not sure who theoriginal family photographer was, but I'll give her credit) There was plenty of staff on hand this Saturday night that wevisited. The restaurant has multiple rooms and an outside dining area. We had a great view! I'll try to label the pictures,but I can tell you that no one was disappointed in their choice. If you can only stop at one place to eat, stop here! The host and waitresses were so polite. Make sure you have a quarter or two... to get some fish food if you're going to eat outside. Our waitress gave such a great recommendation, thank you so much! TheShrimp Rahkee came with two sides & was so good. And the Grilled Shrimp Salad was just as good! We were both jealous of eachother's meals yet we knew we both ordered the best entrée. We travel a bit, & this restaurant has the best shrimp dishes! Thankyou to the chef & entire team. Always a favorite when celebrating something or remembering someone special! We enjoy the festive atmosphere, comfortable... seating (inside or outside),great waitstaff and the quality of the food plus the exceptional wine choices. This restaurant is on the bayou. We sat on the porch over the water. It was quite serene! The pork chops and shrimp dish were... simply delicious! I was there with my wife and three teenage boys. Three dishes came out on time. A hamburger came out 25minutes later. My pork chops were a full 30 minutes after the the first dishes arrived. Everyone was done by then. Verydisappointed to say the least. The waiter took two drinks and a cup of soup off the bill... Bill then was $112. We tipped$30. But was dissatisfied with the kitchen timing and the poor response, no manager, the waiter said it was unreasonable towait that long. I hope your experience is better than mine. Read more
