Every time I go they are closed when their hours say that they?re open. I haven?t been able to try their food and I?ve gone 3 or... 4 times now. Read more

Nice People. They were out of the corned beef and recommended a pastie. I wish I hadn?t tried one. Unfortunately, I can?t say... anything positive about the pastie I had. I hear their sandwiches are fine but they should stop selling pasties immediately. Thecrust was burnt, the flavor was overbearing, with hints of burnt rudabayga, and the price was outrageous for the small portion.Mine wasn?t dry. I didn?t try the gravy at all. The real issue with pasties is the dish is not well known and has the reputation(not necessarily deserved) of being hillbilly food. This means only die-hard pastie lovers are going to care. The story theytold me about coal miners packing these for lunch does not increase the dish?s appeal, and probably lessens what little appealpasties may have had. A place like Joy?s can?t survive selling (and educating people about) pasties. A million restaurants havetried and failed. Do you see any places famous for their pasties? Nope. If the kids aren?t telling their friends about it, it?sancient history. Every once in a while a restaurant owner needs a wake up call, in order to evolve and stay afloat. I offer thishonest review with only the best of intentions, because locally owned places are important. Please get rid of the styrofoamtake-out containers and get local meats. I made my own version of pasties at home once, with a twist. They came out perfectbecause I made them smaller, vegetarian, used curry, and called them samosas? Read more

Fantastic and friendly service. First time here and wasn't sure what to get. They gave me some time and made suggestions. Went... with the toasted Italian sub and potato, ham, and corn soup. Both were excellent. Soup was very hearty and would be very nice inthe colder months. The sub was exactly what I was looking for. Toasted just right, great flavor, and the banana peppers put itover the top. Must go back. Read more

The customer service here is better than some 5* restaurants I have been to. My party was warmly greeted when we all entered.... Our orders were taken quickly and the food came out fast. The staff was very thoughtful of my daughter and brought her out acouple small items on the house. We all loved our Italian sub. This is a humble establishment on the side of the road with a bigheart. Please make sure to tip the staff well. If I am in the area again I will bring in all my friends. Read more
