Montclair’s best kept secret. If you want a cozy place to enjoy the best Indian food, then this is your stop. Great staff... who always have a smile. Ownership is very accommodating and super friendly. The food speaks for itself. Well seasoned andit’s very clear the chefs put their hearts into it. You won’t find better food anywhere else in the state. Definitely wantto make a reservation here as they get busy. They offer 10% off when you order on their site and offer delivery as well whichis great for the holiday season when I don’t want to leave the house. Read more

Jalwa = charisma/luster/splendor/display/show Every element about this place speaks charisma. The ambience, the food and the... people = Jalwa. Easily the most delicious and best Indian food I have ever consumed. Although I have never been to India before,when I was dining in the establishment - it just felt as if I was smack dab in the middle of the best restaurant in Indiaserving the finest Indian cuisine. I’m not a big fan of eggplant but their badam jaam was AMAZING! I had it with the chili garlic naan and their sweetened ice... was also very refreshing! Their chicken was also very tender and flavorful, service was great, highly recommend! Read more

Cozy Indian food in the middle of Montclair’s bustling shopping district. Service was very attentive. They use dark meat for... most chicken dishes which we prefer (and white meat is available for a small up charge) - this was a welcome feature. The food is exceptional. Perfectly cooked. We had Lamb chicken Masala and goat curry. Amazing. There was a really good mango... drink there and the sauces will make your mouth water, Also loved that the place wasn’t over whelming with a food smell sinceit’s a cozy spot. Our clothes didn’t even smell like food which is a huge plus. The food was a bit pricey after you tryappetizers, side dishes like naan and drinks. Besides that the food was great. Read more
