If you are on Presidio of Monterey and are passing by the Tin House, you should pull on in and swing by Einstein Bagel for a... coffee. This is the only bagel shop on Presidio serving all of the Defense Language School staff and students. They are alwaysbusy, but it drops of just after eight when all the classes start. The parking is next to non-existence since all the spots arereserved for staff and faculty. Park in the lot below and just walk on up. Drop off your mail at the same time since the USPS issharing a wall with Einstein's. But seriously don't expect to find parking. Read more
The staff and quality of food here is great but the wait time can get long during peak hours.
Website says they open at 6am. I showed up at 6am and they didn?t open until 7am. I contacted them about the error over a month... ago, and they never responded or corrected it. Read more
This is my favorite place for breakfast, the 2 Egg with Bacon on Asiago is amazing. They also have these marshmallow bars that... are really good too, an improved Rice Krispie, really haha. This Einstein is on base at the Presidio of Monterey. When they open, the line of soldiers is massive, but the staff does an... amazing job of getting people through. I have had the Santa Fe wrap a couple times. It isn't terrible. The line usually goes pretty quick unless it is out the door. It... is conveniently located for DLI students that park in the lot just north of there. Read more
The food is served quickly, never more than a 7-8 min wait. The $5 daily lunch special is amazing, will prob be my quick-eats... restaurant of choice around here. Read more
