There were no other diners when we arrived at the end of the "lunch period". We were greeted immediately and were able to... choose our table. Once we made our decisions, drinks were served. The food was tasty, the sauce was delicious but the burntends were though and not edible. The ribs had the same issue down at the gristle. Otherwise, worth a visit. Thoroughly enjoyed the chicken/ribs combo platter, with mac-n cheese and cole slaw side dishes. The food was superb in flavor... and in good portions. By habit, when visiting an eatery for the first time, I always check the bathroom for cleanliness beforeplacing my order. It was extremely clean, as well as the dining area. The servers were very cordially welcoming. Food seems tobe more enjoyable when the staff is friendly. I highly recommend Dreamland BBQ for tender, juicy grilled chicken and ribs. I just want to start this by saying I love BBQ. I've eaten BBQ from many regions and I have an appreciation for lots of... different smoking styles and sauces. Dreamland is the first BBQ joint that I've tried in Montgomery and it set a pretty highstandard. I ordered a simple BBQ pork sandwich with potato salad and at the waitress's recommendation I topped it off with somenanna puddin. The pork was chopped but with large enough pieces so you could still get a good idea of the texture of the meat.It has a great flavor without sauce but I had to try the sauce. They only have one choice of sauce but it was delicious. It wasa tangy vinegar based sauce with just a touch of heat. It had enough heat to notice but no where near enough to be uncomfortableto anyone unless they have a zero spice tolerance. It was a great compliment to the pork. The sweat tea was great as well. Itactually had a tea flavor without being diabetic inducing. The potato salad had a good mustard flavor and really went well withthe sandwich. And yes the nanna puddin was delicious. Great food and a super friendly staff made for a really awesome lunch. Read more
