Friendly staff with great suggestions, our waitress made great drinks. Food was delicious. The pretzels are tasty and huge! We... also had the bison burger which was cooked perfectly! Nice patio out back and love that they are harvest hosts! Read more

Delicious food and tasty beers. We also enjoyed some live music in their event room. We will definitely be back for more!

I upped my rating from 2 to 3 stars. The brewery did a great job quickly responding to my review with without being defensive,... which shows a great attitude and professionalism. It prompted me to read my the review I left them and I realize that I came offunfairly harsh. Updating my review accordingly while still being true to my opinion. I wanted to like the place more, theatmosphere has improved since they first opened. They have a decent variety of beers, but in my opinion, they are average andsafe examples of each style. To be fair, the beers did not have any off-flavors that I noticed. For newer craft beer drinkers, this is definitely a great place to develop your palate would hopefully encourage trying more craft beers. I am not going tomake a long trip to Monticello solely for the purpose to go here, but if you are a local or already in the area, worth tryingthem out along with the other breweries in the Monticello and Big Lake area. Rounding up to 4 stars here, as this is based on one experience only, but it would be something like a 3.6. However, in terms of... the beer that was more like 4.1: we had two flights and a couple other full beers (group of 4) so tried about 80% of what theyhad; all were decent for their class/style, but in our opinion(s) nothing gold-medal spectacular, except they nailed it on theMango Woman Sour. The odd thing is there's not really anything Nordic here... Food-wise there is a lot that COULD BE and thatwould work well, especially with such a diverse beer list (Maybe: Smørrebrød, Herring w/Rye, Gjetost/Brunost, etc.) but themenu lacks anything Scandinavian. Instead, to be frank, rather generic offerings. (from other reviews it sounds like there WAS apretty stellar bbq setup). Could be since this is new, we could not find their menu anywhere online either. In any case, wetried the couliflower and the pretzel both of which were fine, not remarkable or Nordic. One thing that drags the rating downfor me (and probably the other 80% of the population that does not smoke) is the patio, which allows smoking and if there aresmokers it is hard to avoid the smoke dut to the layout. The furniture combo needs some rethinking if smoking is to be retainedas allowed. So the patio gets a solid two. Service was friendly and mostly attentive about a 4. --- Assuming there isabsolutely no intention of trying to relate the pub (food/atmosphere) in any way to Scandinavia or Nordic customs or experience, then I suppose the food would be about 3.8 and the interior something close four. But, of course, why if that is the name? Longstory short, good beer, limited but decent food - all with essentially nothing to do with Scandinavia - and, worth a stopprimarily for the beer. Another go-to spot for a great beers but the thing that sets this brewery apart is the food they have on site. Highly recommend... the sausage platter, it was a hit among friends with enough to share for two. Read more
