Their homemade red oil is already worth the trip, but they also have a selection of other great products. The lovely employee... took their time to show me around and recommended their favorites. Read more

The menu had two items when I went, to a spicy bowl of noodles. It tasted incredible, though a bit spicy for my taste, and it... was that mouth numbing type of spicy from the sezchuan peppercorns. Don't go if you can't handle spice. The location wasinteresting, super small with only a small table to have less than 8 people, otherwise, you need to take out. Read more

Amazing vegan noodles. I had it with hot soup and it was super savory! I'm sure the cold soup one would also be good.

One of the highlights of living in this neighborhood was being so close to J'ai Feng! I went almost every week in the ~5 months... I was living here. The menu changes every week for their noodle dishes and features locally sourced meats and vegetables.Service is warm and friendly. Don't forget to get a jar of their Red Oil to use at home. I've also purchased desserts fromPâtisserie Maru here which have all been delicious. Read more

Grateful to have this sweet little shop in Montreal! Delicious take-away veggie options and the two weekly noodle dishes taste... and look like they were prepared with a lot of love. It?s the super friendly staff that are eager to explain the otherwiseimpenetrable imported Szechuan specialty groceries that really seal the deal for me - it?s exactly what you want, as a foodie,to be turned on to new items that leave your tongue tingling.
