We visited this gem on our recent visit to Montreal. Before I get to the food, I'd like to point out the cheerful and friendly... demeanor of the staff. From the young woman who took our order and checked to see if we enjoyed the beef patties, they weretremendous, to the gentleman who prepared our meal, you couldn't find nicer people. Now the food. The oxtails were succulent andflavorful, the chicken roti was first rate, and again those beef patties. Being Caribbean myself I had very high expectations of this little spot. I know Toronto has a large West Indian community but... was not expecting this gem in Montreal. Like mentioned, a small spot but churning out huge flavor. I had Jerk Chicken and it wassimply awesome. Nice array of flavors reminiscent of the same meals I enjoy at home. Had a few patties as well- OMG perfect!Flaky crust, hot filling, and jammed up with all the traditional flavors. The doubles was on point too! Washed it all down witha classic red Solo. It's been 6 years we?ve been coming to this restaurant and it never disappoints. The girls at the cash are always friendly and... welcoming, food is always consistent. Very Good and fresh. The proportions are very big and priced accordingly. Highly recommendthis place! 07 july 2022 update: Still?????????? Even after the pandemic, we?ve been coming back recently and food is stillas good. Super fresh patties at the front, along with they?re amazing oxtail dish. We went there 20 minutes before the closing time, and got the beef patties and goat roti to take out. The beef patty is amazing,... buttery, flaky and the filling is spicy and full of flavor. This was much much better than the beef patty we were getting fromChinatown. Highly recommend getting a patty! The goat roti had good quantity of meat and was delicious as well. We thought wemight not get the best experience because it was so late, but this was definitely worth the trip. The ambience of the sit downrestaurant is very tropical and fun with bright colors.
