This place was immaculate. The food, the service, and the vibe were all spot on. We were impressed with every single thing we... ordered. The highlights were the canapé (specifically the gougère à la florentine) and paris brest. But everything in betweenwas equally great. Read more

Beautiful space with delicious food and super friendly staff. The have a great selection of wine and a cute list of craft... cocktails. I particularly enjoyed the Foie gras terrine with cherry jam. It was delicious. I definitely recommend the spot for adate, the ambiance is chic without being pompous. Read more

Tucked away off the street is Place Carmin, with both an outside Al fresco and inside options to dine. We went with a party of... 10 and were promptly sat outside. Despite the road only a few feet away it was surprisingly quiet and did not disturb us toomuch. Expecting big things I started with a nice glass of Rose and we shared some of the canopies. All were delicious and worththe try. I couldn't help feeling that the sweetbreads would have been delicious also!! I followed this with the Duck andBrussels. The duck was slightly tough and over cooked in my opinion. No redness to the middle and toughness was akin to a cheaprump steak. However, the Brussels charred and served with pancetta and I'm assuming some sort of soft cheese was divine and Icould have eaten them alone. All this was formality as my only really aim was to try the Maple Crème Brulé....as a sticklerfor crème brulé I had to try it and it didn't disappoint. Hard, crackly top, smothered in maple syrup gave way to a soft(slightly over cooked) vanilla centre. Really good, really really good! I decided to try their artichoke vermouth to accompanythis and although too bitter for me it worked as far as accompaniments go....... Now to explain this was all served with arather relaxed temperament. I don't mean relaxed as in take your time but more as, have they forgotten about us! Waits betweencourses and orders were tiring and gave an impression of being understaffed rather than immersive. One of our party was due toleave after 2 hours and he wasn't going to get desert if he did ..... One of our table was vegetarian and despite only havingone option, they delivered Brussels with ham to accompany.....such a shame. Outside was bland and lacked any atmosphere.Lighten was non existent and no background music to pacify the traffic, which was a bit of an oversight . Inside, while I justused it for the very disorientating toilets (watch the mirror at the top of the stairs), it was souless and boring Read more

Great food and relatively decent prices in comparison to other French restaurants. Compared to top names like Alo and Pearl... Morrissette, it's way more affordable. (bill for two came to about $240 after taxes and tips). We ordered 4 starters, two mainsand 1 dessert which was a bit too much for me but my husband was quite content. The fois gras was the highlight of the night. It was rich, creamy and tastes amazing with the berry compote. The beef tartar came a close second. The bread it came with wasabsolutely amazing and had the right blend of seasoning and spices to go with the taste of the beef. The zucchini was veryrefreshing. It was just slightly too creamy / fat for my own preference but otherwise very well made. The scallops were decentbut nothing mind blowing. For our mains, I got the fowl and my husband had the cavatelli. Both were pretty good but we thoughtthe fowl was a bit too sweet. Definitely leaned more towards the cavatelli which had a soft texture and heavy mushroomflavors. All in all, a very good dining experience. Read more

Wonderful dining experience! Sat us even though we arrived 15 minutes late. Stand outs were the zucchini vichyssoise and the... walnut crusted guinea fowl. The foie gras and scallop ceviche were great. I've had great duck elsewhere but wouldn't recommendit here. Read more
