Ambience - very nice feel to the place. We were a group of 8 and went in at around 9.15pm. We were told that kitchen was closing... at 10pm. Ordered cocktails and beer. All the cocktails were excellent. My sparkling water was flat, I asked for a replacementand I was brought a new club soda. Ordered a variety of food and apps. Ceviche- was ok. Shrimps seemed to have been in themarinade for too long and shrimp was tad bit tough. Other ingredients in the bowl were tasting nice. Duck terrine - excellentoverall. Lamb kebabs- very well made. Fresh and taste was overall excellent. The burger stole the show. Was awesome. Jerkchicken - taste of chicken was good but was not at all authentic. Baked macaroni was very dry. Cole slaw was good. So overallif I had to rate the food only It would be a 4. My issue was with service. From the time we ordered till we left my onlyinteraction with the server was when I asked for a replacement sparkling water and when I asked for the bill. We were not askedif we wanted more drinks, or inquired about the quality of the drinks or the quality of the food. So basics of decent to goodservice was completely missing. I left a very small tip. The server seemed visibly upset when I completed the transaction. Noteven a " good night". Quite frankly I can understand why she is upset but I would like the server or the manager to alsounderstand that Tips are paid for good service and not just because you take my order and bring me the food and drinks Iordered. Question I have for myself - was I expecting too much or did I not get the service because I am not a local from theneighborhood. Read more
Great date place or one to simply hang out with friends or colleagues. They have a nice small selection of beer and their food... has always been excellent. Stop by during summertime and sit at the outdoor terrace. The neighbourhood is lovely. Read more
First time going here and I was very impressed by the food! Not your average pub fare. Beer/cocktail-wise the choices also good.... I had the house bitter and it was quite tasty although a little too cold for this style. Overall would recommend this spot! Read more
My first meal in Montreal - outstanding. The staff were lovely, the drinks were delicious (they recommended a ‘pale ale’... equivalent which turned out to be an IPA with grapefruit- don’t recall the name) and both dinners made my taste buds explodein the best possible way. The steak and brussel sprouts meal was amazing, the best brussel sprouts I’ve ever tasted and thiswas my first time trying jerked chicken and now I’m hooked.
