This is a place of 2 truths. Truth 1 is The Food Is Outstanding! The Sushi is top notch Fresh and perfect..I tried the Fried... Chicken Skin as a lark and am now addicted. Truth 2 Its dirty...Like get some windex or like any spray cleaner and just go totown. All right let's all be realistic. This is Montreal. If you want great Japanese food go to Vancouver (or Japan). You're in the... wrong city if you're trying to get quality Japanese food here. Sumi Dojo gets the job done in terms of meeting the minimum(which can't be said for every Japanese place in the city). But what's amazing about this place is that it's so spacious. Plusit's never packed so it's great to have a quiet night with a friend. It's my go-to place for outings in the area. I was here just after lunch and it was quiet. They immediately sat me down and when I asked for the washroom they showed it to... me. When I got back my table was all set with water the menue and a new set of chopsticks. After about 5 minutes of perusingthrough the menu I flagged the servers attention who then immediately came and took my order. I ordered a whiskey sour, beeftataki and lobster maki roll.
