It's not only delicious food, but an amazing vibe in the place. I had a fabulous hummus and got more to go. A must if you come... to visit Montreal! Read more
Be careful with their takeaway containers that they fill at the counter from the premade hot section. I paid $8 for a small... thing of beef yogurt kofta from this section. There were literally three small meatballs in it. Unfortunately they don't tellyou that they load the bottom of the container with mostly rice as they're filling the container from behind the counter whereyou can't see them, so by the time I got home all the yogurt sauce was absorbed into the rice and I massively overpaid for a lotof cheap, parboiled rice that was now soggy. Additionally, while the food isn't overall bad quality here, I always find itrelatively flavorless. There are much better options for Levantine food in Montreal. I've been going off and on for years, butthe rice switcheroo means I won't return, because I can tolerate mediocre homemade style food, but I don't like beingshortchanged for a very expensive deli item. They do not accept credit cards or international debit cards, only cash and Canadian debit. They don't warn you about this in... advance either--there isn't a big sign at the door (just a small one out of the way) letting you know so that you don't stand ina line, get excited about the food and stand there awkwardly with kofte in your hand that you can't eat.
