Stopped in for a quick lunch on a road trip. The restaurant is conveniently located in a plaza off the freeway with its own... parking lot. They have both indoor and outdoor patio seating. We were greeted and seated immediately. The server touched baseand provided ice water and delicious honey butter croissants. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich, bacon cheeseburger and NewOrleans style pasta. Then we waited and waited and waited. It took almost 40 minutes to get our meals. To his credit theserver kept us well supplied with croissants and water but when the meal finally came the burger was over cooked (burnt) thebacon on it was also over cooked (burnt black) and the whole sandwich was only lukewarm. The pasta was fine served up hot. Thechicken sandwich was so hot it burnt the mouth. Not sure what happened with the burger but they clearly need to work on it andtheir meal timing. Luckily you can pay at the tablet on the table so we didn?t have to wait for the bill. If you?re in a rushthis is probably not a good place to stop. Star docked for the burnt lukewarm burger. Cheddars was awesome. 1st timer being at a Cheddars. The staff was friendly, great vibe, the decor was cool and the restaurant... was clean. The food tasted great. We ordered the Wisconsin cheddar bites for an appetizer. So yummy! We ordered the BuffaloChicken Wrapper and Monte Cristo. Both had great flavor and tasted great. We had a lovely meal with my family. Everything was delicious! I secretly asked a server if she would mind bringing a birthday... dessert to our table for my niece who was going to have a birthday in a week but I wouldn?t be able to be with her. They outdidthemselves with the most MASSIVE piece of chocolate cake I?ve ever seen and covered with chocolate sauce and surrounded by icecream and whipped cream. This was amazing! I am here on vacation from Illinois, we don't have one in my town, it closed down 10+ years ago and i was... devastated. Eating here really brought back all my childhood memories.
