This was our first day in Chicago, we love you do what locals do. We asked and and talked to a few people and the general... concern was Pequod's few of them said you need to try their deep dish pizza and their appetizers. We didn't know what toexpect, yet from the moment we came in you can feel the "you're with family feeling", we had to wait a little because there werebusy yet it didn't disappoint. From the person that helped us at the door, to our waiter, everyone had a big smile and a helpfuldisposition. Our waiter suggested us a pizza and we went for the 10" deep dish pizza, with four toppings, plus the mixedappetizer. I'm a big guy and I eat a lot, yet with the size of pizza and appetizers was a lot. We finished our appetizers(amazing) and took home half of our pizza. Their servings are big! And we loved it! We got left overs for the next day. Thecrust on the pizza was to die for, it was flaky, buttery melted in my mouth. The cheese was all over the place, combined withthe fresh toppings made a big impression. I recommend this place 100%,. When ever I get back to Chicago I'll visit this placeagain. There is a kids Menu and a great variety of topping, as well as other dishes. My wife and I really enjoy everythingabout the place. One thing to keep in mind is parking, there is not much parking available in this area, they are on aresidential zone. As long as you get they just be patient and you'll get a parking space in no time. Read more

We visited this place to experience the Chicago style deep dish pizza - the one with loads of cheese - oh boy, what a... disappointment. Not far from the airport, my wife and I were both hungry and with such high rating the restaurant won our vote.We entered and received a very cold welcome in a dark and dingy place by a girl who pointed us to a corner table to have a seat.Later on we decided to go outside to escape the unpleasant smell of the place. The girl who came to take our order did make itclear to us it’ll be 30-40 min to get our pizza. At the time, I kid you not, there were 3-4 families inside the restaurant.Anyways, I thought to myself it’ll probably takes that long to make a deep dish pizza. So we decided to wait it out. Then aguy brought us the pizza and the pizza had the wrong toppings, so they had to redo the pizza. Again, we had to wait for another15ish mins for our pizza. What we got was a thick crusted pizza with mostly bread and heavy marinara sauce and the mushrooms andonions like we ordered, but nothing like a deep dish pizza I had heard about. This pizza had little to no cheese, which is theopposite of a deep dish pizza. Anyways, we were both very disappointed, especially my wife because she had made the suggestionto go here. I felt bad that she felt bad. If you decide to go I hope you have a better experience than we had. God bless. Bythe way, these pictures are of our left overs which I ate in my hotel room. Read more

First time in Chicago and ofcourse, my husband and I had to try their deep dish pizza. This place seems to be always busy.... Apparently, a local favourite. It took about 1 hour to be seated with reservations and then another hour to get our food. Indoordining seemed nice but was too dark and had a weird smell so we asked to dine outside their patio. Pizza was alright. Server wasnice but when she served the pizza, the pan was on the warm-cooler side where there wasn’t even a “cheese pull” and thecrust was so hard. I guess they forgot to serve it once it was cooked. Pan wasn’t hot. Read more

Ok, this pizza was pretty unique and amazing. First time here and we got 2 pizzas. The deep dish personal pan was simple with... pepperoni and jalapeno only. This was one of the best I've ever had. I loved the cheese crust, the sauce, everything was uniqueand refreshing. Our second pizza was a large sausage and lots of veggies. This one had the same yummy crust but we didn'tnotice it as much cause there proportionally isn't as much crust on a big pizza. Also it was a little bit more mushy because ofall the toppings. I wonder if the tomatoes did that. Everything was still delicious but not quite as good as the smallpizza. Id suggest keeping your pizzas small if you love the crust as much as I do. Also, maybe keep them simple and don'tchoose watery toppings. If ever in this area again I will be back. Read more

First our Server HARRIS. He is so patient. We had a party of 6. We needed all separate checks and had special requests. He took... care of us with a smile! This place has Pizza and more!! Let’s start with the Pizza. Deep dish was delicious. The toppings arebasically priced per topping. The cheese on top is good and crusted on the sides. They don’t skimp on the toppings at all. Ialso had a half order of wings. They were excellent;crispy outside ,tender and juicy inside. Must try when in the area. Read more
