Long standing Mt. Dora restaurant. Downtown overlooking beautiful Lake Dora. Indoor and outdoor seating. The patio has a bar and... on many nights has live music. I ordered the grass-fed burger. It completely fell apart due to a dry, crumbly bun. A burger ofthat size needs a better bun. If you're going to charge nearly twenty dollars and serve it on a metal tray with condimentpackets, then it better be a great burger. Not even close. Worst meal out in two years Read more
The most outdoor seating you'll find in Mount Dora. Also large indoor seating for the area. All day happy hour on Monday. Plus... happy hour prices are excellent!! Highly recommend that. Also, Pisces Rising is open on days when many other downtownrestaurants and bars are closed. Came for lunch and had a pound of boiled peel and eat shrimp and the Chicken Tortilla soup ofthe day to start. Then migrated to the Blackened Tuna Nicoise Salad and the Cashew Chicken Salad. Soup was loaded with shreddedchicken and mildly spicy. The Tuna salad was very good with a nice presentation. The Cashew Salad was short on chicken and longon the nearly out of control fried rice noodles. The dressing on it was excellent though. I've visited multiple times and the food is always good. Great history of the space and two excellent bar areas, a large bar... outside and a very typical bar inside. They offer several custom drinks and have all day happy hour on Monday. My most recenttrip was a bit disappointing as we had a 6:30 reservation, arrived about 6:15 and were seated immediately. Appetizer took about20 minutes to arrive, main course was about an hour after ordering. Food was good and no issues otherwise. Edit: 5/27/22 Anothermoderately disappointing visit. They were short staffed so limited seating. We sat at the outdoor bar for an app and drink andhad great service. Moved inside at about 20 minutes and it went south. I think I found my new favorite restaurant, the food was so delicious and all the waiters are so nice and helpful, the bartender... was the sweetest thing ever and made the drinks so yummy. I sat outside over looking the lake and enjoyed the beautiful view andbreeze. Can’t wait to go back ???? Read more

We had a pretty good overall experience here. Jim our waiter was great and very friendly. The food was pretty good. The buffalo... bomber was unique but good. The chicken in the sandwich was cut up, I was not expecting that. The bread was kind of dry too. Thedrinks were very good though. I got the blue envy I think.
