After a recent death in our immediate family, we weren't ready to cook Thanksgiving dinner. We chose Cameron Estates based on... menu. For the quality of food served, I'd say it was overpriced. The meal for 3 adults and 1 child was $182. Nowhere wasanything noted about a tip. At that price I'm also not expecting to have to tip. Just as we were finishing up, the server askedif I had already left a tip on my card or if I was paying now. Keeping in mind, I had to pay over the phone when I called toreserve. Imagine my surprise and being put on the spot over a tip. I gave one but this really should have been included. While Iappreciated that others worked to serve on a holiday, my final thought is its overpriced, food was OK, it wasn't excellent andit wasn't horrible. There was prime rib offered too but it was too rare. The mashed potatoes and sweet were good. The turkey wason the dry side. The sides were okay. The keylime pie was tasty but given they were putting out pre-packaged other desert, Iwonder if this was too. The servers were nice. I also watched the staff near the desert area actually take little cheesecakesout of their packaging to place on a plate, which made me wonder how many other things were pre-packaged. Again, for the priceper person...I didn't expect to see pre-packaged food. I wouldn't go to Cameron Estates again to eat. All said... I spent over$200 (food + tip) for 3 adults and a toddler to eat. It was not worth that amount. Read more

The wedding was beautiful and the people were great. The only reason it wasn't 5 stars is because it was beautiful enough to... have the wedding outside but the chairs were left out in the rain from the night before and some of padding on the chairs wasvery wet. With people in nice expensive clothes they shouldn't be expected to sit on dirty wet chairs. Read more

We had a great time here. The grounds are beautiful. The staff was super friendly. The room we stayed in was very cozy. We took... a walk in the rain and had plenty to explore. My gf and I are already planning our next stay here. Read more

I hosted a bridal shower at Cameron Estate Inn because it is truly a beautiful venue. That being said, I am highly disappointed... on several fronts and would not choose this venue again in the future. I was asked multiple times to sign documents and acontract to make sure all details were correct including the layout for the event. Per the contract, client set up was at 8:00am, so my husband and I arrived shortly there after. We found the space unclean and not set up per the agreed upon layout. Thefloor was dirty and flower petals were everywhere, there were glasses, straws, and napkins left out on the window sills, and thebathroom was disgusting. Moreover, we were missing necessary tables that I had requested in the layout. It was evident thatthere was an event the night before and no one had bothered to clean things up and reset them for our event today. There was noone available in the venue space to greet us or double check that we didn't need anything, which I found odd, so I went to thefront desk and no one was to be found. I finally found someone near the breakfast area explaining I had an event in the ballroomwith setup at 8:00 am and I needed someone in there to clean as soon as possible. I stressed that the setup was not completedeven though I had to sign off on the event setup multiple times the week prior. Staff showed up around 8:20 am - I explainedthe space is not setup on their end and I have guests showing up for a 10:00 am event and I am now delayed nearly half an hour,as we could not do our set up until their cleaning was completed. The owner Cathi did then show up and I expressed mydisappointment and stress over the uncleanliness and lack of adhering to the contract. I felt very frustrated by her telling methat the event wasn?t until 10:00 am and they were still cleaning up after a wedding they had the night before. Though sheassured me they would take care of cleaning up and setting up prior to guest arriving, I am incredibly frust Read more

We spent two nights last week. Although we were impressed by the beauty of the place, our greeting was off-putting. The... restaurant wasn't open as advertised, so we got handed a multi-page list of area restaurants with no help. The room was verypretty (#11), but the closet door wouldn't open because the night table blocked it, the bathroom had towels hanging on the wallover the toilet, there were no foot traction strips in the tub nor any kind of bath mat for when you got out. The sink lightingwas inadequate. The wifi instructions didn't work. Thankfully, a staff member named Melissa helped us out in that and otherstuff. The breakfast was mediocre (keish) and the next breakfast we asked for scrambled eggs, which were awful. The one dinnerwe had was ok, but in decades of going to B&Bs the meals were the least inspired we've ever had. There were no snack machinesfor eating or drinking. Just water in a common fridge. They seemed more wrapped up in selling weddings to prospective familiesand prepping for one on the weekend. We get that, but we're still guests, and we would prefer to go to a B&B where theestablishment makes breakfast like an event and makes you feel like you're guests in their home rather than just another couplefilling a room. Even when we left, it was a dismissive experience--no asking how we liked our experience or anything.Disappointing. Read more
