This pizza joint has a good pizza! Also, this place has some great Detroit nostalgia. Definitely recommend checking this place... out! This location offers military discount. Staff was super friendly. Took a minute to get seated. The wait for food was alittle long, however; this is a pizza joint and it takes a little more time to get food than normal. For this reason, be patientand go easy on them. For a party of 5, the price was good. The small pizza comes with 4 hearty slices of buttery, crispy thickcrust; which was awesome! None of the members of my party was able to comfortably complete a small pizza by itself. As formeaningful feedback, I was not a fan of the marinara sauce covering the top of the pizza. This overwhelmed the flavors of theadded toppings, ultimately taking away the full flavor of all the ingredients. For example, I ordered a small ?Super? pizza(pepperoni, ham, onion, mushroom, and green peppers). The sauce was so much that everything had that zesty and sour?ish flavorthat comes with a marinara. It was hard to get the bite and flavor of each of those ingredients, so much so I couldn?t taste thepepperoni and barely got that onion and mushroom flavor one would expect. I did get the green peppers and ham flavor out of itmore pronounced than the others. Please refer to the pictures added to this post. Lastly, the staff was nice, however; I didn?tget offered a drink refill until we were done with the meal. Our first night in our new home town and we walked over to try this place. We met our server Joel and he was excellent! Very... nice and very friendly within a few minutes if was like we were looking time regulars! The pizza was great and rates as the bestwe have ever had. Had the BBQ Chicken and Meatball on a half and half. Got the large but the wife and I would have been finewith the small, enjoyed the left overs anyway. Also met one of the owners and she was delightful as well. Can't wait to comeback and try more of the menu! Read more
absolutely hands down the best pizza restaurant i have ever been to. I just recently moved away from Charleston, yet i find... myself craving Toni's pizza ALL THE TIME ! Quality ingredients, quality service. Not to mention they offer vegan cheese which isa HUGE plus (: If i ever come back to Mt. Visiting family from a Detroit suburb and wanted to get some good, non-chain local pizza while in Mt. Pleasant. Did a Google... local search for pizza near me and sorted the choices by highest rated. Happy to see "Detroit style pizza" in the name of thisrestaurant. Highly rated reviews and let me tell you they lived up to the hype! We ordered the Mediterranean and the BLTspecialty pizzas. They were absolutely fresh and delicious with a perfectly crispy crust without being overly greasy. All of us-Michiganders and the locals alike; loved this pizza. Our family that lives there will be ordering again in the future and wewill be sure to stop by on our next visit. We did take out but I popped into the dining area which was absolutely spotless andcharming and full of Detroit, Michigan memorabilia. Try this place for sure! Read more
