Menu for Emerson Resort & Spa in Mt Tremper, NY

The hotel staff was very rude and uninviting. You would enter and leave the hotel without acknowledgement from people at the... front desk. There was no maid service and the room had flies. I asked a spa employee for recommendations on what I can do duringmy weekend trip and she said there is nothing. Nothing at all? The spa services were sub-par and not worth the money. Barelyany places to eat, those of which with very obscure hours. Do yourself a favor a choose another resort/spa and actually get anenjoyable experience. Read more

Loved a girls night getaway at the beautiful Emerson Resort and Spa. We discovered last year when staying at a different... location nearby and knew after a visit this would be our return trip. All the staff is friendly, accommodating, and go above andbeyond. After checking out and about 20 minutes after leaving I realized I left my laptop. Went back to the front desk and thereI was greeted by Kristine. She shut down the front desk for a short period of time, took the golf cart over to our room to lookand no computer. She then went to housekeeping to continue her search and met us back at the lobby. Ten minutes later she cameout to my car with a big smile and my laptop. Now that is GREAT customer service. She is truly an asset to all who stay at thisresort and the company is lucky to have such a dedicated employee. Read more

The Emerson Resort & Spa is definitely the nicest accommodations in the Catskills. The property is new and very nice, our... bi-level suite was fantastic. The main issue I had was how overboard they went with their covid protocols. I stayed at manyhotels during this time period and never experienced anything close to how it was handled here. In any event, thankfully itlooks like that is all behind us. We would certainly consider staying here again one day. It's a nice two hour trip from NewYork City. Read more

Enjoyed two very relaxing nights in the Majestic Lodge which has wood beams everywhere and gives that cozy feeling. We have... stayed at the Inn part a few other times which is closer to spa and services and very luxurious. Each time has improved and thiswas no exception. Dinner menu had lots of delicious choices, cooked to perfection. We are returning to this sanctuary for aspecial place to be on our anniversary. Read more

Overall a disappointing stay. Booked a "midweek escape" with couples massage months ago as an anniversary getaway for myself... and my wife. We first arrived on Sunday at 3:30pm and were told our room wasn't ready yet. Not a big deal as they do statecheck-in is at 4:00. We checked with the desk again at 4:00, and our room was still not ready. We were assured they wereworking on it right then and should only be another 5 minutes or so, so we decided to just sit and wait in the lobby. Finallyat 4:30, I checked again and was told "the room should be ready any minute." This time we were offered a free bottle of wine forthe inconvenience which we accepted, and the room was ready a few minutes later. We had a 1st floor room at the inn, and I willsay it is a very nice, clean, and comfortable room. My only complaints about the room would be 1. The fireplace did notconsistently turn on and sometimes took multiple flips of the on/off switch, and 2. They still do not have housekeepingservices. The next day, we were supposed to have a couples massage at 3:00pm. My wife and I went and enjoyed some activitiesin the area and upon returning to the hotel, I received a message that our spa appointment had to be cancelled and the onlyavailable appointment was for the following day at 11:30am, so of course we took the appointment, but that meant we then had torearrange our planned schedule and leave later than expected the following day. Not even an apology, let alone a discount oranything to try and make it right, just an "it is what it is" attitude from the spa attendant. Also, nothing against themassage therapists that we had as they did really well, but I had requested 2 female therapists when booking our originalappointments, and we ended up with 1 male and 1 female. I have to assume this was due to the last minute reschedule. Theseincidents, along with the fact that everything seems to close down incredibly early just left us feeling disappointed.
