Sooo good! Entrees: Étouffée????, Catfish w/ dirty risotto????, Perfect Prawns, and Cod. Starters: Crimini mushrooms, soft... shelled crab(acquired taste). All so good!! Plus we had Crab beignets and artichoke dip; which were also great. And do notforget Bread Pudding for dessert! The owner Scott is New Orleans all the way and everyone else we met were on task and reallygreat. Even the DRINKS were on point. We went twice in one week. My husband and I went here a few days ago for the first time ever. We had a great time. We each had a cocktail and dinner. The... Bourbon Street Burger was a little messy but very tasty and I loved the seasoned fries. It was very filling and worth the price.On top of that there was lovely live music and just an overall pleasant feel. Definitely a cool, cozy place with a great atmosphere. Lots of potential! The staff was very attentive and friendly. The food,... however, was a bit disappointing. It was simply below average-quality pub food at steakhouse prices (around $20 for a burger andfries). The salad we ordered also lacked any real character and was an extra $7 to add chicken. I would love to update this inthe future to 5 stars because it really was a cool place, but there's just a lot of great food options in Mount Vernon. Read more
Had a great night at a table for one. Had a two meals (lol) and some wine while studying. Really relaxing vibe with blues music... and the right lighting. Great for work or a fun night with friends. The Shrimp Mac & Cheese is phenomenal. And the wine ispretty good, especially for Mount Vernon where you really can?t get a good glass of wine anywhere (except Bertelsen?sWinery). Also, the owner, Paul, is awesome. He was very friendly, greeted me and showed me to my table. He took time to sharehis wine recommendations (he selects them himself) and check back in on me later.
