We had the worst experience tonight. We sat at table for 15 minutes without even a acknowledgment. Finally I stop a server... walking by and asked who our server was, she said she didn?t know. She came back a few minutes later and said she guess shewould be. We waited 20 minutes for our appetizer. Then 45 minutes later we still hadn?t received our food. We had order saladsand boneless wings. Other customers who came in after us had already eaten an left before we even got our food. When we finallygot our food the wings were cold. We have been to the Arena several times and the service great and the food was good. I hopetonight was an anomaly. Read more
We have been here several times and always had a great experience. Tonight they were extremely busy and we had to clean off our... own table and flag a waitress down. First let me say that the Arena is a five-star family restaurant/bar when it comes to food, service and cold beer? and NORMALLY... ? great atmosphere. It has been a favorite of my family for years and we eat there a lot! It is also the number one restaurantthat I refer my tourist guest to patronize when they are looking for a great place to eat in Mountain Home. When my wife and Iate there today we were literally overwhelmed and disgusted by the horrible Halloween decorations that were hung in every squareinch of the restaurant?decapitated bloody heads on fish hooks hanging from the ceiling, Ghoules, bloody zombies, eerie clowns,skeletons and skulls? You get the picture. Thank goodness I did not have our children or grandchildren with us today! Wecertainly will not be returning or recommending until the decorations are removed? I?m sure sometime in November. I believe thatmacabre environment is inappropriate for my God-fearing family to be around! Why would you hang that dark diabolical stuff inyour family restaurant/bar? I believe that hurts your business not helps it! This normally would?ve been a five star review,but we enjoy the food and staff a lot and we?re not the kind of people to utterly give you a horrible rating just because ofthese crazy decorations. Traveling through Mountain Home late in the evening looking for someplace open. This place is really sporty with its decor,... darts, menu items, and multiple televisions to catch ALL the games at once. They have a bar with a large selection of drafts ontap and mixed drinks. This place is still kid friendly but also great for drinks after work or a large watch party. The night wecame in it was FREEZING but the weather is at that weird "in-between" this time of year. We?ve just been to Arena Sports Bar & Grill for the last time. The time before today, we waited for an hour and a half and then... took our food to go when they finally assured us it would take only 8 more minutes. Today, after waiting a long time, my foodcame and it was 1, a mess and 2, wrong. I told our server I didn?t want it and she said she would remove it from our bill. Inthe end she charged me for it and wouldn?t take it off my bill because I had ?eaten half of it?. I sent a mostly full plate backand the issue wasn?t discovered until I cut into the second half of the sandwich as there was no chicken in the first half. Sheasked me twice if I wanted grilled or breaded chicken and I told her grilled. She did not write our order down. Instead oftelling us she couldn?t take her mistake off of our ticket, she just gave us our bill without the itemized portion which I hadto ask for. This was after charging us for someone else?s meal that was twice as expensive. If she couldn?t take the item offour bill, she should have brought my plate back. I?m sure David would?ve eaten the fries. We have been good loyal customers ofArena since we moved here but we will never go there again. They should call Gordon Ramsey and see if they can be part ofKitchen Nightmares and get themselves straight. Read more
